The Bachelor of Criminal Justice and Criminology equips you with the practical and analytical skills needed in this rapidly changing world. This cutting edge program has been designed in strong collaboration with industry to assist construction and other built environment professionals to upskill in order to comply with the stringent practice requirements being demanded by government and knowledgeable private sector clients regarding the use of Building Information Modelling (BIM), Lean Construction Practice (Lean) and Integrated Project delivery (IPD) in optimised construction project delivery.

The Master of Building Information Modelling and Integrated Project Delivery program prepares students for advanced involvement as relevant BIM/Lean/IPD Managers in their work environment, for the benefit of projects and their stakeholders.

The program is delivered in intensive mode and has the objective of preparing industry professionals to serve as BIM/Lean/IPD managers. While the course does cover various BIM-related technologies, it does not prepare students to be specialist technicians in the niche areas of the technologies covered by the curriculum. The program includes a capstone subject (40 credit points) in which students work on a realistic BIM/Lean/IPD project that requires application, analysis and synthesis of complex ‘project’ data. Limited placement opportunites may be available based on required performance criteria.

The Bachelor of Commerce program develops students’ financial literacy, business analytic and decision-making skills, leadership, and management skills through experiential learning and authentic assessment tasks relevant to the choice of major. This degree equips students to think creatively and critically, problem-solve, communicate professionally, work collaboratively, make ethical and responsible business decisions, and work effectively in an ever-changing and increasingly complex global business environment. In the Bachelor of Commerce, students complete a major which specifically prepares them for a professional career in Accounting, Actuarial Science, Economics or Finance fields. By undertaking a specified set of subjects according to their chosen discipline, Bachelor of Commerce students graduating with an Accounting, Actuarial Science or Finance major are eligible to pursue professional qualifications offered by their field’s governing bodies. Students are also encouraged to complete a minor to diversify their skills and enhance their employability.

The combined Masters program in Criminology and Project Management enables students interested in a career in crime prevention, justice and forensic issues to acquire expertise in the planning, implementation and management of projects and programs. The Master of Architecture is the accredited professional degree for a career in architecture, complying with the competency requirements of the Board of Architects Queensland and the Architects Accreditation Council of Australia. The Master of Architecture provides a tailored architectural education in a creative studio-based environment focusing heavily upon design through hands-on and digital making with state-of-the-art tools. Project-based design studios focus upon real-world scenarios with specific attention to urbanism, the future of global cities, and the role of architecture and the architect in addressing urban, environmental, social, and technological change. Graduates will display mastery of architectural design abilities that are creative, critical, analytical, and spatial and based in advanced historical, theoretical, technical and disciplinary knowledge. The Master of Architecture will prepare students for globally-relevant employment through development of a sophisticated set of disciplinary competencies and acquired knowledge, providing the ability to synthesise diverse information in the resolution of complex creative-design challenges using a globally-applicable skillset that is deployed locally.     Established as a highly-flexible and student-focused degree program, students in the Master of Architecture will study for 4 semesters full time, domestic students may also chose to study part-time. Studies include content from the disciplines of architecture, digital media, construction, city planning, urban design, and university electives. The Master of Architecture is the terminal award allowing graduates to gain registration as an Architect in Australia and other jurisdictions that recognise the award. Upon completion and to earn registered status, graduates must complete a period of supervised employment experience (minimum 2 years) and pass a registration exam for recognition in Australia. The Master of Architecture provides knowledge, skill, and application (where required) of core competencies including design and documentation, practice management, project management, and understanding of contract law and project procurement. *Student participation in the International study tour is subject to VISA approval, alternative teaching activities will be organised for students not able to travel.

The Master of Financial Management (Professional) is a postgraduate qualification which provides the essential knowledge and analytical skills for making key financial decisions faced by corporate managers, business bankers, wealth advisors and financial managers.
