Are you looking to extend your skills in psychology? This honours degree introduces you to professional issues, theories, and methods of data analysis in contemporary psychology research.

Explore the scientific discipline of psychology and its application in the workplace. In the Bachelor of Applied Science (Psychology) (Honours), you will learn about psychological assessments and interventions, and write two theses that directly engage you in the research process.

Through your studies, you'll be equipped with sound evidence-based knowledge you need to for a career in which psychology principles can be utilised, or to pursue higher study at master's or doctorate level.

This selective-entry, research-oriented honours degree is designed for capable and highly-motivated students who want hands-on involvement in research projects.

It prepares you for the compulsory one-year internship that you will need to complete in order to gain Australia-wide registration as a pharmacist.

Once you've successfully completed the degree and the internship, you will be registered to practise in any area of pharmacy in Australia, including community or hospital pharmacy.

Alternatively, this degree provides you with a foundation from which you can progress with further studies, to achieve a range of other career opportunities.

Osteopaths are trained in diagnosis, management, and treatment of musculoskeletal pain disorders. They combine conventional medical testing procedures and skills of palpation and motion testing to inform their clinical rationale for treating a patient's condition.

You will be trained in musculoskeletal diagnosis, clinical procedures in performing conventional medical tests, physical examination techniques, and motion testing in order to assist in diagnosis of a patient’s condition.

Osteopaths make treatment decisions that depend on the patient as well as their condition. They might give advice on posture, exercise, lifting procedures, nutrition and other areas.

You will begin work-integrated learning in first year, with clinical observations in the RMIT Health Clinic.

In the final two years, you will conduct safe, skilled evaluation, diagnosis, and management of a wide range of musculoskeletal complaints under the supervision of qualified and nationally registered osteopaths, over a period of 38 weeks per year.

There is also an opportunity to complete a work placement in an Australian osteopathic clinic.

Mental Health Nurses are specialist registered nurses with key responsibilities to assess, plan and provide care for people who are often vulnerable and in crisis. Advance your nursing career with the Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing, which would enhance your ability to deliver recovery focused care in a variety of mental health settings.
Professionally recognised

This diploma is a core requirement that can be used in your application to be credentialed by the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses, which will allow you to practice as a recognised Mental Health Nurse. Upon graduation, you will be able to access a Graduate Diploma allowance under the Victorian Public Mental Health Nurses award and seek promotional positions that require this qualification.
