UNSW’s Master of Property and Development is a 1.7 year, or 1 year accelerated postgraduate degree that will equip you to work at the cutting-edge of a dynamic industry.

You’ll learn the modern principles of property investment, development and management and apply them across different phases of the industry cycle, learning to achieve successful outcomes in financial viability, risk management, sustainability as well as facilities and asset management.

This degree is designed for students who are passionate about both the Law and Science, and are interested in learning about the connection between the two.

The Law degree aims to develop graduates who have excellent analytical skills, a capacity for scholarly research, effective oral and written communication skills, and a commitment to personal and professional development, ethical practice and social responsibility. In addition to developing critical and analytical skills, Law students can gain real-world perspective by undertaking an internship and practical legal experience in our community legal centre. This is complemented by hands-on learning and a strong research focus in the Advanced Science degree, where you can tailor coursework to your aptitude and interests while deepening your understanding of scientific inquiry.

The Master of Finance is a specialist degree for graduates who have completed a finance major in their undergraduate studies and now want to take on more advanced topics. It has been developed in close consultation with the finance sector and exposes you to the latest thinking and research in finance.

In your Commerce degree, you’ll learn core business principles across a range of disciplines through our Integrated First Year. The Master of Financial Analysis is a specialist qualification that builds on your prior degree and substantial studies in accounting and/or finance. It will extend your understanding and abilities in financial analysis, giving you a solid grounding in high-level skills for the development of a wide range of careers, such as investment analysis, funds management, chief financial officer role or almost any career involving business analysis. It draws on cutting-edge teaching and research from UNSW Business School which is ranked 1st in Australia and top 20 worldwide for Accounting & Finance*.

You will develop your strategy skills, risk analysis and management, valuation, and project development/management. A large range of courses gives you the flexibility to tailor your study to meet your individual professional development needs.

Students can undertake a five-year full-time double degree leading to the award of the degrees of Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and Bachelor of Science (BE (Hons) BSc).

The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) provides you with a solid background in mathematics, natural sciences and computing to give you knowledge and skills in whichever specialisation you choose. You'll have the chance to apply yourself to engineering design and enquiry projects, professional engineering practice, and engineering and technical management, as well as conduct research towards your thesis project.

The Bachelor of Science degree allows you to study a wide range of science subjects. You are encouraged to choose a variety of courses in your first year, and later to choose from a broad selection of major options. Bioinformatics is where computing and the life sciences meet. It involves the development of technologies to work with and manage the huge volumes of genetic information being generated.

Bioinformatics is at the convergence of computing and the life sciences, and involves the development of technologies for storing, extracting, organising, analysing, interpreting and using the growing volume of genetic information being generated.The need to process and analyse vast amounts of information requires advances in both software technologies and hardware architectures.

In this degree you'll learn the foundation disciplines of bioinformatics, which includes biology (biochemistry, molecular biology and genetics), computing (algorithms, databases and programming), mathematics and statistics. You'll gain the skills to design and implement software for activities such as identifying the genes affected in specific cancer types.
