Studio-based courses enable you to focus on a specific area of design and digital media practice or put together a suite of courses from across design, material practice and digital media.

UNSW’s Bachelor of Commerce/Arts is a double degree that will equip you with business experience and expertise, combined with the creativity, analytical and critical thinking skills that come with an arts degree. Both degrees offer flexibility, allowing you to shape your degree to match your ambitions and interests.

The Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) has been designed with consultation from industry to set you up for lifelong employability. By combining your BCom with a Bachelor of Arts, you can choose from a diverse range of majors and subjects in the arts, humanities and social sciences. You'll develop an in-depth knowledge and breadth of understanding, gaining the tools to think critically, communicate effectively and conduct independent research.

Indigenous studies
Gain an understanding of diverse First Nation cultures and societies. This program begins with exploring current and traditional Indigenous knowledge, philosophies, and cultural values tied to country. Complex themes cover popular culture, political history, government policy, colonialism, environmental justice, gender, and cultural heritage. Gain profound critical reflection skills and challenge your assumptions.

The UNSW Bachelor of Construction Management and Property is a three-year degree when studied full time. Equipping you with the skills and connections to turn your passions into a tangible and meaningful career, this degree is one of Australia’s most respected in its field.

Throughout the world, our most iconic structures wouldn’t exist without inspired planning and execution. Complex construction projects need leaders who can meet the demands of a constantly evolving industry.

During your study, you’ll develop the skills and knowledge needed for the management of property development, construction sites, projects, and quantity surveying. We place a strong emphasis on construction and property economics and management skills, including cost, time, human resources, organisational behaviour, risk management and information technology.

The Bachelor of Science/Law double degree will equip you with the transferable skills sought after by employers in law, science and a range of other industries. You’ll learn to approach complex legal issues stemming from new industries and new social expectations as part of a progressive law degree.

As part of the Bachelor of Science, you’ll access state-of-the-art scientific technology and build extensive knowledge in a scientific field. With 26 majors to choose from, you can specialise in anything from neuroscience to biotechnology or psychology.

The UNSW Master of Laws (LLM) is a one-year full-time postgraduate degree that offers you the opportunity to develop an advanced and contemporary understanding of one or more areas of legal study, acquire further expertise and enhance your career prospects.

Criminal Justice and Criminology
Crime and criminal justice are matters of pressing public concern and considerable controversy. Newly emerging problems offer challenges and require rethinking conventional understandings of criminology and criminal justice. Innovative technologies and justice practices may offer advantages and threats to due process and the integrity of the criminal justice system.  

The Criminal Justice and Criminology specialisation in the Master of Laws will provide you with advanced interdisciplinary knowledge and skills to research and analyse current debates, emerging problems, and new criminal law and criminal justice developments. The specialisation draws on the recognised expertise of UNSW in research and teaching of criminal justice and criminology, criminal law and procedure. You can also choose courses dealing with transnational developments, international criminal law and human rights, and the rapidly evolving sub-discipline of state crime.

The UNSW Master of Public Relations & Advertising/Master of Design combines two postgraduate degrees over two or three years full-time. You’ll gain a unique combination of strategic communication skills and design practice, as well as a deep conceptual knowledge of media theory and design research.

The Master of Public Relations and Advertising/Design dual award is ideal for industry professionals from advertising or design seeking to advance their career, as well as career-changers wanting to enter vibrant and rapidly evolving industries. Graduates of this program are well-rounded communication professionals known for creativity, design thinking and entrepreneurship. 

This exciting degree focuses on the science and practice of air and space flight; the design, development, testing and production of aerospace vehicles; the maintenance and operation of aircraft; and aerospace research. To accommodate the international nature of the aerospace industry, you will receive the same depth of understanding as professional aerospace training programs in other industrial countries.

Our Aerospace Engineering degree focuses on airborne vehicles to meet future employment prospects in Australia (like aerodynamics, flight mechanics, propulsion and structures). The final-year course involves a team project integrating all aspects of aircraft design to meet a defined mission specification. To get you work ready, you'll apply your skills through 60 days of approved industry training.

Students can undertake a five-year full-time double degree leading to the award of the degrees of Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and Bachelor of Science (BE (Hons) BSc).

The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) provides you with a solid background in mathematics, natural sciences and computing to give you knowledge and skills in whichever specialisation you choose. You'll have the chance to apply yourself to engineering design and enquiry projects, professional engineering practice, and engineering and technical management, as well as conduct research towards your thesis project.

The Bachelor of Science degree allows you to study a wide range of science subjects. You are encouraged to choose a variety of courses in your first year, and later to choose from a broad selection of major options. This gives you time to become more familiar with the different areas of science and to explore possible majors.

Computer Science is the study of the design, construction and use of computer systems. The Bachelor of Science (Honours) program in Computer Science and Engineering is a 1 year full-time or 2 year part-time award undertaken by eligible students after completion of a 3 year Bachelor of Science program in a relevant discipline and offers students an opportunity to deepen their understanding of the discipline through the completion of advanced coursework and a research thesis.
