This innovative degree extends the Civil Engineering Bachelor degree by including courses in Architecture from the School of Built Environment. Civil engineers create and manage the infrastructure of our built environment, including bridges, roads and highways, tunnels, dams, ports and harbours, railways, water supply and sewerage schemes, irrigation systems and many other structures.

The degree will lead to a professionally accredited Engineering qualification with a foundation in architectural principles and an understanding of both the architect's role in structural design and the connection between architects and engineers. It aims to inspire students to become conceptual thinkers with an appreciation for architectural beauty and the mathematical insight to challenge traditional boundaries of structural design.

Media Studies (Major)
During your media studies programs at UNSW, you’ll learn how to demonstrate creativity, rigour, adaptability, independence and cultural reflexivity in the application of media studies concepts and methods. On top of this, you will be able to critically analyse the evolving media landscape in relation to historical, social, political, material, and theoretical contexts, including settler colonialism. The Master of Engineering Science (Transport Engineering) is designed to develop skills in modelling and analysing transport systems, both passenger and freight.

You will gain deep knowledge in the planning, functional design, operation and management of transport infrastructure, with a focus on its economic and environmental impact.

The program will provide you with advanced study options including transport planning, ITS and land use and risk management and safety, through to network design, demand estimation and sustainability, emissions and health.

In just four years and one term, you'll gain both a Bachelor of Applied Exercise Science and a Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology. This combined degree explores the science of human performance and how exercise is used as a rehabilitative and preventative therapy, equipping you to care for both healthy patients and those with chronic disease across two areas of practice.

Exercise scientists specialise in the prescription and delivery of exercise to enhance general health and improve athletic performance. Exercise scientists draw on a broad array of knowledge from subdisciplines such as biomechanics, motor control and exercise prescription to develop and deliver exercise initiatives to improve individual and community health. 

Exercise physiologists expand on the exercise science skillset by using exercise as a rehabilitative and preventative therapy to manage a wide range of chronic diseases including cancers, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, metabolic, respiratory, neurological and mental health conditions. 
This degree will prepare you to meet the accreditation requirements to work as an exercise scientist and/or exercise physiologist. You'll be qualified to work across a wide range of roles and settings including hospitals, private practices, aged care, mental health clinics and workplace health and rehabilitation.

New media is becoming an increasingly dominant form of mass communication, challenging established frameworks with disruptive technology. Media laws influence how people communicate and how both old and new media operate.
