What you'll learn

This two year program comprises 16 courses including 4 electives and an industry placement/project.  You will start with seven core courses common to all specialisations in the IMBA. Through these you will develop advanced skills and expertise in areas of international management including:

• Global business environment
• People leadership and performance
• Economic principles for business
• Fundamentals of data analytics

You will then move into your tourism and event management specialisation studying areas such as the business of tourism, destination management, event management and digital innovations.

Skilled communicators are essential in every organisation and industry sector, and this adaptable degree will equip you with the knowledge and skills to plan, develop and deliver communication activities across a range of platforms.

You will develop skills in:

• writing and creating content for traditional and online media
• Analysing social media and its role in society
• Managing media and public relations
• Critical and analytical thinking required for the strategic planning and management of communication and media.

You will learn how to write, plan, deliver and evaluate communication strategies that engage and inform target audiences using a range of media platforms. With a focus on communication for both traditional and online media, you'll study:

What you'll learn

Emerging trends and technologies, contemporary design issues, construction challenges and research are key focuses of this graduate diploma. You will also:  

• develop design proposals

• foster client relations

• survey building sites

• learn how to translate traditional drawing and design methods to specialised computer programs

• develop research methodologies  

This program is recognised as an approved program by Financial Adviser Standards, The Treasury1 and will equip you with the education requirements to practise as a qualified financial adviser.

We’ve worked closely with industry to develop our course content, and regularly consult with Treasury to ensure your Graduate Diploma meets the most up-to-date industry standards.

Our Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning is best suited to:

•     existing financial advisers with a non-relevant degree; or
•     existing financial advisers with no degree; or
•     new entrants with a relevant degree.*

What you'll learn

This program consists of eight advanced financial planning courses, which you can complete in one year of full-time study (or part-time equivalent). Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) based on Treasury requirements for existing advisers will be considered and can reduce the number of courses you must complete.

What you'll learn

This qualification provides graduates with advanced practical and theoretical skills and knowledge, advanced research skills and valuable business skills. A key focus is on practice-based research, as it relates to your chosen specialisation. You will also study marketing and business, covering areas such as:

• grant sourcing and applications
• industry associations and professional recognition
• communication skills and marketing strategies
• copyright, trademarks, intellectual property and taxation
   

What you'll learn
This degree offers an equal mix of marketing and communication subjects, and over the course of your studies you will also gain a solid grounding in general business principles. In your first year you will be introduced to consumer behaviour, marketing principles, communications and public relations.

This degree will teach you to think critically, manage projects and work as part of a team. You will also develop first-rate expertise in professional marketing and communication practice through the integration, planning and management of key communication projects in an organisational context.

In your law studies you can undertake a Community Justice Project, practice advocacy and negotiation, or gain industry experience through participation in our Legal Advice Clinic or a professional placement. You’ll also be involved in mock-trials in our moot court, learning what it’s like to act as an advocate and argue a case before a judge. 

In your tourism and event management studies you will prepare for a fast-paced career in these growing industries. You’ll develop an understanding of the field from a global perspective, and study a broad range of practical, real-world issues with a chance to get involved in running events.

This degree is made up of 40 courses. You will do 24 courses in law and 16 courses in tourism and event management.

Laws (Honours)
As a UniSA Law student, you’ll gain valuable skills from day one, including in reasoning, reporting, analysis, negotiation, communication and advocacy. You will also experience what it's like to argue a case and provide legal advice.

Throughout your degree you will study core courses that teach you the fundamental legal concepts that underpin the Australian legal system. Courses such as torts, contracts, criminal law and constitutional law will give you a good understanding of basic legal principles.

Our Law program also features courses that build your leadership skills, intercultural communication, project management and capacity for community engagement.

You will have the opportunity to have practical learning experiences including mooting, negotiation, and witness examination. You will also engage in a Community Justice project, high-level research or an industry placement, ensuring you’ll be prepared for legal practise upon graduation.

Tourism and Event Management
You will study core courses such as Business and Society, Management and Organisation and Marketing Principles: Trading and Exchange. You will also learn the latest in specialist areas such as:

• Marketing, service management and new technologies in tourism, events and hospitality
• Destination management 
• Policy and planning for sustainable tourism

What you'll learn
This degree is made up of 40 courses. You will do 24 courses in law and 16 courses in sport and recreation management.

Laws (Honours)

This degree will see you graduate with the confidence and practical capabilities needed to succeed in this competitive field. You will:

• Gain a solid foundation in the theoretical aspects of design, and through valuable hands-on projects and industry placements you will also gain practical knowledge and skills that will see you transition with ease into the workplace
• Gain an understanding of industry trends – delve into the world of workplace design, as well as the expanding field of furniture design with hands-on experience in the production and fabrication of furniture
• Apply design processes and strategies to a range of interior architecture projects, many of which are professional projects with real clients; alternatively you may choose to complete workshop-based courses where you can create furniture prototypes.

With a Master of Finance you will be equipped to manage the challenges of the fast-developing global finance industry.

This degree has a strong focus on experience-based learning. You will use simulated financial markets in the Finance Trading Room to enhance your learning and engage in real world practical tasks in specialised fields in Finance. You can also choose to enhance your business consulting skills and experience through a professional business placement in Australia or overseas.

What you'll learn

The Master of Finance is made up of 16 courses in areas such as financial theory and markets, investment management, corporate finance as well as econometrics. You will also study two electives as part of your studies. One of your elective options is a 150-hour industry placement either in Australia or overseas.  The program will take 2 years full-time to be completed. If you are eligible for Advanced Standing*, it will take only 1.5 years.
