The Certificate in Communication Design Essentials, a partnership program between BCIT and Emily Carr University (ECU), provides you with a skillset preparing you for success in the graphic design field in 12 months. This intensive program combines technical expertise with a solid foundation in visual communication and the design process. This program provides you with the option of a block transfer of credits towards the ECU 4-year Communication Design bachelor’s degree. You may opt to continue your studies on a full or part-time basis, or launch your exciting new career immediately.

The Technology Support Professional (TSP) program is a 10-month blended full-time program designed to get students ready to start a career in information technology. It is an ideal program for individuals with no previous background or education in computing, as well as those who need to retrain or upgrade their present computer skills. It is offered by BCIT's Technology Professional Programs department.

The blended delivery model offers students the flexibility to complete the program online. While courses are offered in the traditional face-to-face format for those who prefer to be on campus, students may also minimize classroom time, or alternate between modes. After 3 days of in-class orientation at the beginning of the program, students have the option to work remotely for most of the program duration. Class is live streamed from a state of the art broadcast room at BCIT’s downtown campus.

The TSP program provides a solid foundation of IT skills on which students can build. Our program is taught in a multi-platform environment with qualified instructors. By the end of the program, students will be able to:

• Install and configure multiple operating systems such as Windows, Windows Server, and Linux

The NASP program is an applied intensive 1-year program that prepares students for a career in secure system and network administration within both enterprise and service provider environments. NASP develops the requisite expertise to plan, implement, manage, and secure server, storage, network, and application infrastructure. It integrates business communications and leadership throughout its technical curriculum. As a compliment to facilitating the acquisition of technical skills and knowledge, the program provides employment advantages to its students through integrated work experience and the incorporation of industry certifications.
