Choose from transfer courses in more than 30 different subject areas. These courses will transfer to at least one BC post-secondary institution.

Whether you want to take one or two courses at a time, or register for full-time studies with four or five courses each semester, the University Transfer program gives you the freedom to design your own timetable. Generally speaking, you'll probably start by taking 100-level courses (first-year) and follow up with corresponding 200-level (second-year) courses.

Design a better world
This Access program is for those who don’t yet have the requirements to enter the popular Mechanical Engineering Technology or Engineering Graphics Technician programs. Upgrade your math, physics and English skills while taking relevant and important courses in mechanical systems and architectural design. After completing the Access program, you will receive a certificate and will also have a guaranteed seat in the next intake of the Mechanical Engineering Technology or Engineering Graphics Technician program.

The Cybersecurity & Network Support Technician certificate program has a practical career-oriented approach, giving you the knowledge and hands-on experience you need to be able to install, repair, secure and maintain computers, servers and computer networks.

The demand for security professionals with skills to protect systems from attack continues to grow. Completing this diploma program will not only give you the skills to maintain computer and networks systems but will give you the ability to design and configure these systems and optimise them to protect them from attack. You'll have the skills to assess and deploy Cloud based solutions in a secure manner and monitor, assess, and respond appropriately to security events on any of the network systems.

Skills you'll gain
You don't need any previous knowledge of computers or networks to enrol in this program. By the time you graduate, you'll possess a wide variety of skills, such as:

• Installation and maintenance of complex computer networking systems;
• Maintenance and repair of personal computers;
• Maintenance and repair of server systems;
• Implementation of workstation security;
• Security analyst - monitoring, detecting, investigating, analyzing and responding to security events;
• Configuration and setup of advanced servers including cloud based
• Technical sales support.

The Education Assistant and Community Support program prepares you to support individuals with acquired and/or developmental disabilities both ethically and professionally in the context of home, school, work, and community settings

You will develop a foundation in leadership that prepares you for the strategic role HR professionals play in leading and influencing organizational performance. Applied learning experiences rooted in Human Resources principles are an integral component of this program.

Year 1: In your first year, you’ll work through introductory–level courses in accounting, finance, management, and marketing. Exit the program now with a Business Administration certificate or continue on to Year 2.
Year 2: In your second year, you'll take courses in HR management foundations, leadership skills, and negotiations and contracts. Exit the program now with a business administration diploma or continue on to Year 3.
Year 3: In your third year, you'll continue your studies in human resource development, leading organizational change, and employee & labour relations.
Year 4: For your fourth year, you'll be taking courses in strategic HR management, employment law, and applied leadership.

Practical Nurses care for clients at all life stages across the continuum of care. Prepare yourself for a career that provides safe, knowledgeable & professional nursing care within a variety of health care settings.

What you'll learn
This full time diploma program provide will provide you with the knowledge, skills, judgements and attitudes required to practice as a practical nurse within a variety of health care settings. The program will prepare you to care for individuals and families at multiple life stages in acute, complex, and community care settings. Graduates of the program are eligible to write the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination (CPNRE) to apply for licensure to become a Licensed Practical Nurse in British Columbia.

Knowledgeable
In the Practical Nursing Program you will study from the same body of nursing knowledge as registered nurses (RNs) and registered psychiatric nurses (RPNs) with a more focused approach in foundational knowledge, critical thinking, and clinical judgment appropriate to the role of a practical nurse. This program will provide you with the knowledge, skills, judgment, and abilities to contribute in all phases of care from prevention to acute treatment and management, to long term and palliative care.

Competent
Practical nurses integrate knowledge, skills, behaviours, attitudes, critical thinking and clinical judgment expected of an entry-level practical nurse to provide safe, competent, and ethical care. Working in collaboration with other health care team members, you will provide direct nursing care and in acute care hospitals as well as complex care and community care settings.

Professional
Practical nurses are health care professionals who care for a wide range of clients at all stages of life. As a professional nurse, you will work within your own scope of practice, standards of practice and code of ethics.  Practical nurses are frontline nurses involved in the assessment, planning implementation and evaluation of nursing care and are a valuable member of the health care team

Invent and improve
Learn relevant, up-to-date skills in the design, development, manufacture and maintenance of mechanical devices.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
Industry standards developed in the classroom
You’ll gain practical hands-on experience in Camosun's laboratories and CNC-equipped machine shop balanced with a solid grounding in English, math, physics and engineering concepts.

What to expect
The program is delivered over five semesters, starting in September and running through to the end of August in the second year. Later in the first year you will choose if you want to go straight through or participate in paid Co-op or Internship work terms.
The program is rigorous, requiring you to do work outside of the classroom. In addition to up to 30 hours per week of class time, you should expect to spend between 15-20 hours outside of the classroom per week.
Year 1:- In your first year, in addition to a foundation in engineering math, you’ll take courses in manufacturing processes, fluid power, mechanical control programming, engineering graphics, engineering materials, electricity and machines, building systems, and statics & dynamics.
A workplace education planning course prepares you to participate in optional internship or co-operative education study options. You can start your first four month work term at the end of year one.
Year 2:- In your second year you’ll have the option of completing the program or extending it by participating in co-operative education work terms. This work experience will extend your length of study into a third year, giving you four to twelve months of paid industry experience.
Your second and final year will give you the skills you need to be work-ready for an industry that is vibrant and in-demand. You’ll study mechanics and vibrations of machines, strength of materials, fluids and heat transfer, control systems, machine design, thermodynamics, robotics and automation, electronics, and, energy and sustainability.
A comprehensive hands-on project planning and design course is an integral part of second year, and culminates in a public showcase.

We offer three credentials that ladder together. You can apply, exit and return at any stage. In addition, the Business Admin program now offers a flexible trimester system, which means you can choose to get started in January, May or September.

The Post Degree Diploma in Sport Management provides students with a combination of business and advanced sport management knowledge and competencies.  Designed for students who have already completed a bachelor’s degree, students will study foundational business courses alongside advanced sport management courses in the areas of event management, sport marketing and project management, sport analytics, sport organizational behaviour, and professional sport delivery.

Students will develop knowledge and capacities that will enable them to enter careers in sport related business, leadership, event, and program and project development positions in not-for-profit, corporate, and community sports environments at the local, provincial, national, and professional level.  

Graduates of this program will have studied analytical and strategic thinking concepts preparing them to practice professionally, responsibly, and ethically in the sport management industry.
