By enrolling into the Certificate in English for Academic Purposes students enhance their English language skills with the help of speaking, reading, listening and writing English. Occupational Therapist and physiotherapist assistant work with the people who have limited functionality because of injury, illness, disability or aging. By enrolling into the Diploma in Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist Assistant program, students will be helpful to gain hands on experience and to develop the skills which are required to work in clinical and community based system under the guidance of registered and excellent occupational therapist and physiotherapists.  

The program helps to develop skills in the areas of anatomy and physiology, rehabilitation practice, mental health concepts and techniques, occupational or physiotherapy skills, therapeutic exercise, function and movement specialized training, and human lifespan development.  By successfully undergoing the program understudies will be able to find employment in the sectors like hospitals, senior living centers, clinics, rehabilitation centers, nursing homes, and extended care facilities.

This 10-month intensive program is intended for graduates of university degree programs in the Humanities or Social Sciences or diploma programs in a related human services field. [Mental Health and Addictions, Child and Youth Worker, Developmental Services Worker, Nursing, Gerontology, Early Childhood Education, Recreation, Community and Justice Services or others to be determined by the Program Co-ordinator.]

Applicants must have completed 40 hours of direct experience with clients in a social agency. 

Following the eight-month in-class portion, students will have a two-month field placement opportunity in a community agency.
