The Human Kinetics Diploma with a major in Exercise Science is an undergraduate diploma which spans over a period of two long years offered by the School of Human Kinetics at Capilano University. This is a comprehensive program designed for students who wish to explore the human body and kinetics and make a career out of it. From subjects like biology, physiology, psychology to exercise and physical activity, kinesiology and so on, this program deals with a number of subjects and topics.

The Associate of Arts - Global Stewardship is a two year long degree program provided by Capilano University which offers students a number of diverse career opportunities. Under the Associate of Arts Degree the students study all kinds of literature from modern to classics and contemporary works of literature for two years. Students have the opportunity to read various genres, expand their cultural horizons and know the world from an altogether different perspective. Associate of Arts Degree consist of a total of 60 university credits with a total of 18 credits in the first and second year English.

The Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Applied Behaviour Analysis - Autism provides students with existing baccalaureate degrees from an accredited university the opportunity to obtain an additional credential that would enable them to work with children, youth and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders.

The coursework and experiential component of the Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Applied Behaviour Analysis-Autism qualify students to write the professional certification exam of the Behavior Analyst Certification Board™ (BACB™) and then become a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst™ (BCaBA™).

The Diploma in Indigenous Independent Digital Filmmaking at Capilano University is an undergraduate program which extends for a period of two years and is offered by the School of Motion Picture Arts. Elevate your hospitality career and earn a Canadian academic credential while gaining valuable work experience in this competitive, dynamic, and growing industry.

This program is designed to develop the future managers and leaders in the global hospitality and tourism industries. You'll learn from award-winning faculty, training in key areas of Canadian and international tourism management, including revenue management, tourism planning and policy, service management, convention management, hotel operations, and cross-cultural tourism.

As part of this 16-month diploma, you'll participate in a 280-hour practicum (more information in Application Details), working in the hospitality area of your interest. Upon graduation, you may be eligible to apply for a three-year Post Graduate Work Permit.

The eight-month Accounting Assistant Certificate program trains students in accounting, bookkeeping, computer applications and office procedures; and prepares students for the workplace.

You'll also participate in a 2-week work practicum with a local company.

Learning Outcomes

• Prepare business emails, letters and memos using fundamental principles of grammar, punctuation, and written communication skills so that the message is clearly transmitted.
• Apply basic math skills in the computation of the numerical aspects of business situations.
• Analyze and record basic accounting transactions accurately and thoroughly for different types of business organizations.
• Operate Microsoft Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint as software tools to be used in a business setting.
• Record accounting transactions using a variety of computerized accounting programs.
• Produce an effective team project which links high-performance team and group concepts.
• Use their resume, letters of application, interviewing techniques and other job strategies to seek employment and complete a two week practicum placement.

The North American Business Management Post Baccalaureate program (NABU) builds knowledge about how to do business in North America for students from around the world.

This program gives international students and new permanent residents an opportunity to gain North American business credentials and hands-on work experience. Study North American management practices, selecting from four specializations: marketing, human resources, international strategy & entrepreneurship and finance & investment.
