This full-time, two-year, Ontario College Graduate certificate program will be of interest to graduates of engineering and engineering technology programs wanting to expand their theoretical knowledge by providing opportunities for complementary practical training and experience in a manufacturing shop learning environment. Through practical courses the student will be exposed to situations that arise in the workplace. Domestic and foreign trained individuals will benefit from this program's solid modeling, machining, and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) programming courses (machining option) or blue print reading and welding symbols courses (welding option). In addition, applied learning opportunities include manufacturing shop projects and a capstone project which consolidates the theoretical and practical content. Upon completion, students will be prepared to make an effective start in supervisory or managerial roles in a manufacturing environment. Today's secondary wood manufacturing sector strongly benefits from the use of computerized numerical control (CNC) equipment in areas such as architectural millwork, kitchen cabinets, and furniture components. If you have an interest in the woodworking industry and a desire to program and set-up CNC machines, this program is well-suited for you. 
This one-year Ontario College Certificate will provide you with the skills to apply CNC techniques to develop programs for various CNC equipment such as beam saws, nesting routers, point-to-point machining centers, drills and dovetail machines. Through active, hands-on learning you will gain practical knowledge of the equipment, as well as best practices used in CNC programming within a variety of industrial settings. Program work is completed in a 50,000 square foot state-of-the art facility using modern equipment.

Working within the payroll function of an organization requires a diverse set of skills along with specific knowledge of bookkeeping, payroll, and legislative applications to ensure all aspects of the accounting and payroll cycles and compliance elements are met. This two-year Ontario College diploma program provides the necessary skills and knowledge to perform effectively in entry-level bookkeeping positions as well as providing a solid knowledge of the payroll functions within organizations and the skills to perform the payroll and accounting tasks for manual and computerized systems. This program will also look at industry trends and best practices related to the compensation, benefits, and payroll functions within organizations. Topics addressed will include the payroll cycle and related calculations, how to work with agencies to ensure compliance with all legislative and government requirements, and documentation processes. Graduates will gain a solid foundation of the payroll functions within organizations and will be able to perform payroll functions for various organizations working with specific accounting systems and processes utilized in Canadian businesses. Graduates will also have completed the 3 transfer credits required for the Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) certification which is the next step for PCP certification holders looking to enter a management position. Graduates will only need to complete 2 further payroll courses with CPA and demonstrate 2 years of work experience, being responsible for the payroll function of an organization. CPM certification provides the valuable payroll compliance and management skills needed to advance.

Conestoga College's Business Supply Chain and Operations for Commercial Trucking program will prepare you to work with clients, border crossing agents, and their internal team to be an asset to the supply chain process and optimize business efficiencies and relations. In this program, you will focus on trucking operations, logistics, and business principles. You'll take courses on colour, textiles, finishes and fixtures which are enhanced with access to our large sample library. A field placement opportunity in your last semester will allow you to gain hands-on career experience before graduating.
