Coursework includes study in developmental disabilities, teaching strategies, health promotion, augmentative communication and assistive technology, pharmacology, dual diagnosis, trends and issues, behavioural supports, counselling skills and community development. Confederation College’s two-year Aviation Technician – Aircraft Maintenance Co-op diploma program teaches you everything you need to know to prepare for the Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) license. Get the hands-on experience you need to maintain, repair and troubleshoot complex aircraft systems. Topics include aircraft construction and science, electrical and electronics, airframe systems and inspection, rotary wing (helicopter) maintenance and structural repair.

Confederation College’s Pre-Technology program can help by allowing you to upgrade your skills and prepare for your future learning. The program is divided into two streams, the Technology/Aviation stream and the Trades/Pre- Apprenticeship stream, depending on what direction you plan to take.

The Trades/Pre-Apprenticeship stream is designed to upgrade your skills and knowledge for a variety of Confederation College trade programs including Carpentry and Renovation Techniques, Welding, Mechanical Techniques and Motive Power Techniques-Automotive. Courses cover topics such as applied math for trades, computers, trades science and writing strategies.

The Technology/Aviation stream is designed to upgrade your skills and knowledge for a variety of Confederation College programs including aviation, technology and technician programs. Class work includes applied math for technology, computers, technology studies or aviation studies and writing strategies.

Are you interested at the convergence of communication, technology and culture? The diploma program in Digital Media Production at Confederation College in Ontario provides students to enhance valuable skills to learn digital media.  

The program allows you to learn to connect with users through blogs, vlogs, live shows etc. Also, understudies will be able to explore some of areas of social journalism to bring new media platforms. The program allows students to develop skills like photography, videography, graphic design, and many other areas relevant to this field. 

Students may seek their enrollment in the areas like print journalist, web designer, Communication associate, television or radio producer, new media specialist and more.

Confederation College's Computer Programmer two-year confirmation program will give you the specialized aptitudes you need and help to build up your very own imagination. You'll figure out how to program in different dialects, for example, HTML5, JavaScript, C#, VB.NET, Java, and SQL. You'll additionally pick up involvement with the specialty of use configuration, plan designs, client experience systems, structure strategies, a few dialects, non-language explicit improvement, arrangement and testing for a large group of gadgets and situations.

Confederation College’s Practical Nursing program is a two-year program with an emphasis on providing nursing care to stable, predictable patients across their lifespan.

Courses in the Practical Nursing program cover a wide variety of topics including foundational theory courses, nursing skills/procedures, pharmacology, pathophysiology (disease processes), nursing assessment, and clinical practice. Students will develop the nursing skills needed to help people at various stages of life (infant to older adult) and experience a wide range of exciting clinical practice experiences! Students who graduate from a Ministry approved Personal Support Worker Program may also have advanced credits in the Practical Nursing Program. Students who graduate from the Practical Nursing Program often set their sights on a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree after completing the Practical Nursing Program.

The Tourism program offers students with complete introduction to the tourism field. Students interested in travelling may choose this program for their future as it covers numerous topics including tourism marketing, digital photography, business fundamentals, dimensions of airline industry and many other. Students will have a choice of French or Spanish language and field placement or study abroad opportunity. 

Students have a wide variety of possible job options to pursue, which include airline customer service agents, flight attendants, tour destination representatives, tour guides, travel agents, tourist attraction operators, eco-adventure guides, government tourism agents and much more. Students may find numerous inbound and outbound career outcomes in tourism all around the world. Students may also open their own tourism company after completing the program at Confederation College. 

Recreation is important for everyone as a way to relax and keep balance in their lives. But for some with physical, cognitive, emotional and/or social limitations, recreation therapy is also a way to connect and participate with others. You can learn how to help!

Confederation College’s Recreation Therapy program will give you the skills and knowledge you’ll need to plan, implement and evaluate a wide range of leisure services for children, adolescents and adults who experience barriers to a healthy leisure lifestyle. You will learn how to work with individuals and groups of all ages to assess their needs and interests so you can encourage independent and personally fulfilling leisure lifestyles. Coursework includes therapeutic recreation, developmental psychology, program and event planning, communications for community services, administrative practices, physical activity leadership and recreation facilities.

The Engineering Business and Safety Management Graduate Certificate Program is a unique program developed for international students with an engineering degree (e.g. civil, mechanical, industrial, and others). It will enhance their knowledge and skills in the specialized area of engineering business and safety management.

The program is designed to enable students to meet the demand in the engineering, industrial and construction sectors for staff with expertise in the areas of project management, occupational health and safety management, human resources, and contract and cost management. In the fourth semester, the 15-week work integrated learning component will provide a hands-on learning experience.  It may take the form of an intensive applied learning project or a work placement. It will strengthen the students’ engineering management skills and increase their preparation for employment upon graduation.
