Confederation College’s Pre-Technology program can help by allowing you to upgrade your skills and prepare for your future learning. The program is divided into two streams, the Technology/Aviation stream and the Trades/Pre- Apprenticeship stream, depending on what direction you plan to take.

The Trades/Pre-Apprenticeship stream is designed to upgrade your skills and knowledge for a variety of Confederation College trade programs including Carpentry and Renovation Techniques, Welding, Mechanical Techniques and Motive Power Techniques-Automotive. In this two year, graduate certificate program, students hone their marketing, communication and analytical skills, to build a brand, attract customers and communicate effectively in a digital marketing environment. At the same time, they gain training in workplace business practices, communications, and interpersonal dynamics. Combined, these help business graduates obtain employment that is commensurate with their interest in marketing, their business skills and their qualifications.

The program enables students to become proficient in the practices and techniques used in modern marketing environments. Students learn how to combine traditional marketing and communication practices with digital marketing applications to insure a successful marketing campaign or strategy.

Program courses are designed to respond to the growing demand for graduates who not only have a background in business and/or traditional marketing, but who also understand the digital arena and have some technical skills in this area. The program will therefore enhance the employability of business graduates, enhancing their undergraduate training with more specialized marketing skills (which are in high demand).

Students will integrate and apply the skills and knowledge acquired in the program during a capstone project in their final semester.

The Tourism program offers students with complete introduction to the tourism field. Students interested in travelling may choose this program for their future as it covers numerous topics including tourism marketing, digital photography, business fundamentals, dimensions of airline industry and many other. Students will have a choice of French or Spanish language and field placement or study abroad opportunity. 

Students have a wide variety of possible job options to pursue, which include airline customer service agents, flight attendants, tour destination representatives, tour guides, travel agents, tourist attraction operators, eco-adventure guides, government tourism agents and much more. Students may find numerous inbound and outbound career outcomes in tourism all around the world. Students may also open their own tourism company after completing the program at Confederation College. 

Three year advanced diploma in Dental Hygiene program at Confederation College provides students with experience and knowledge required by them to get success in health care field. The program covers the topic necessary for this field. For instance: microbiology, dental hygiene, preventive oral health promotion, research methods, health policy and others. 

Professional Dental hygienists serve their responsibilities like clinical therapy, health promotion, education, administration and research. In general, hygienist either works independently or may have their private practice. Graduates may pursue their career in private dental offices, community dental clinics, hospital dental clinics, public health units and many others. With the help of this program students are prepared to work confidently and independently with clients and patients of different backgrounds.
