Students in the Business Administration – Supply Chain and Operations Management (with work experience) advanced diploma program will be prepared to perform marketing forecasting, demand management, production planning and other functions in supply chain management, in careers that include logistics, transportation, warehousing, exporting, procurement, planning and forecasting. The supply chain management courses in this program will allow graduates to demonstrate knowledge, skills and abilities related to both business in general and supply chain jobs in particular.

This learning experience will enable graduates to demonstrate:

• Analysis of the impact of an organization's supply chain initiatives on its human resources management strategies, policies and practices
• Compliance of an organization with relevant national and internal law, regulations, safety requirements and professional standards
• Application of the knowledge of the functional components in the integrated supply chain including logistics, purchasing, distribution, transportation and warehousing
• Use of supply chain tools and resources, in order to comply with the requirements of supply chain management
• Interpretation of relevant financial documents and assessment of financial strategies that support an organization's supply chain

The American Sign Language and Deaf Studies program is open to both Deaf and non-deaf students and provides intensive preparation in:

Learn the skills required to be a successful chef, cook or culinary manager from highly experienced industry professionals in our two-year Culinary Management diploma program. In addition, our special-focus culinary management courses will teach you about emerging culinary trends such as local sustainable foods, nutrition and international influences. You will develop the people skills you’ll need to build a successful career in the culinary industry and the leadership skills you’ll need to run a business. To top it all off, you’ll also complete a unique industry externship program, which will give you a chance to work with experienced chefs and industry leaders.

As a graduating student from this program in India or in Canada, you will be ahead of your league with skills in culinary education that is most sought after in the hospitality industry.

TRANSFER OPTION
Enroll in 3 year of Bachelor in Culinary Management Degree at Chitkara University with an option to transfer after two years of study in India to George Brown College, Canada and graduate with a Honours B.Com degree in Culinary Management from George Brown in Canada after 4 years (2+2) of total study

Theatre Arts – Preparation is a dynamic one-year program, specifically designed for students to obtain the basic skills required to compete for a place in professional theatre schools.

This exciting program develops knowledge and skills in the performance, business and production aspects of the performing arts, helping you to clarify future education and career objectives. Blending theory and practical skills, this program will help you develop the confidence, creativity and fundamental acting skills for this growing industry.

Courses will be taught by artists and teachers from the performing arts professions. You will have ample opportunity to meet Canadian artists, directors, designers, writers and technicians.

Social Service Worker is an innovative program that provides students with an opportunity to learn theoretical models, approaches to practice, group facilitation, mental health supports, social innovation and anti-oppressive practice. This two-year program combines in-class learning with field placement.

This is an approved education program by the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW).

The Business Administration – Finance advanced diploma program provides students with the knowledge and skills to work in the financial services sector. The financial services sector continues to grow and adapt to the needs of clients through the use of technology. People with customer service skills and knowledge of financial planning, call centre operations, investments and risk management are needed in this fast-paced environment.

Upon completion of this program, you will be able to help clients take steps to achieve their life goals through an integrated approach to the management of all their financial affairs, including such areas as:

• Financial Management – assess the client’s current and future financial position, based upon their cash flow, budget and net worth.
• Investment Management – assess the nature of the client’s assets based on their risk tolerance, time horizon and expected rates of return
• Retirement Planning – compare the client’s expected lifestyle in retirement to their current retirement assets and planned savings
• Tax Planning – assess the client’s current and future tax obligations and strategies employed to minimize or defer taxation
• Insurance and Risk Management – manage the client's exposure to an unexpected financial loss due to death, health issues, property damage and other risks.
• Estate Planning – assess how the client can meet their objectives upon death in the most efficient and cost-effective manner
• Prepare a comprehensive financial plan for a client situation, integrating and prioritizing the activities listed above.

The Honours Bachelor of Commerce (Financial Services) is a four-year business degree that was developed with employers to create graduates who can thrive in today's financial services industry. Work Experience
The Honours Bachelor of Commerce (Financial Services) degree includes Co-op experience(s) that amounts to no less than 14 weeks of full-time equivalent work (420 hours), either in one block or in multiple cumulative blocks appropriate to achieving the learning outcomes.

The Co-op experience usually occurs between your sixth and seventh semesters if taken in one block and all 420 hours must be completed before the seventh semester. This work experience provides you with the practical experience employers value. Organizations in the following categories are engaged as field education partners for the Financial Services degree:

Each September, a small group of students begin a nine-month graduate certificate program in Interdisciplinary Design Strategy at the Institute without Boundaries (IwB), where they work as a team to research, design and realize a real-world project. Initiated in 2003, this program delves into the methods and practices of design research, strategy and social innovation. It is a unique educational experience offered by George Brown College in partnership with leading designers and industry.
