In this program, students focus on networking, operating systems, system administration, virtualization, and security related to new computer networks and the maintenance of existing computer networks. As an official Cisco Networking Academy partner, certified instructors assist students preparing for industry recognized certifications such as the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Routing and Switching. Students gain experience in problem solving, and effective oral and written communications through examination of current industry trends and requirements. Students acquire professional and entrepreneurial skills for industry and self-employment, as well as real life experience through participation in co-op work terms.

The program curriculum incorporates theory applications and practical experience from the generation, distribution, utilities and automation industries. Concepts from the sciences and humanities are emphasized to ensure that the graduate is provided with current technical knowledge, skills, and practice.

Events can be used to stimulate economies, develop community awareness, increase public involvement, improve quality of life, raise funds and market products. Managing a successful event of any size requires extensive know-how and planning. In Georgian's Event Management program, students gain the skills and experience to prepare them for an exciting career in a fast-paced industry that relies on client satisfaction. The curriculum, designed by industry professionals,enables students to explore current trends and technologies that drive the industry. Students have an opportunity to gain hands-on experience planning, marketing, executing and evaluating events. By the end of the program, they are equipped with the knowledge, skill, and practical experience to find employment in the event industry.

In this program students acquire an understanding of the general principles of law, and gain theoretical knowledge and practical experience in ethics and a small business practice. Taking the program prepares students to apply to become a licensed paralegal in accordance with the requirements of the Law Society Act. A licensed paralegal may be self–employed, offering fee for service legal assistance, without the supervision of a lawyer, or may be a salaried employee in various legal environments.

As integral members of the legal team, law clerks work independently under the general supervision of a lawyer and assist with numerous tasks associated with the handling of diverse legal matters, including significant client interaction. In this program, students learn to draft legal correspondence and memoranda and prepare various court documents in practice areas such as real estate, corporate, estates, civil litigation and family law, utilizing current legal software to produce documents to professional standards. Students learn legal administration skills, substantive law, ethics and professionalism. Students engage in experiential learning through a field placement that reinforces and expands upon the knowledge and skills acquired in the classroom. 

Students are provided a degree-level education in business with a special focus on management and leadership. Students explore current issues, trends and technologies preparing them to adopt innovative approaches to evolving management and leadership issues. Entrepreneurship is a Georgian College signature learning experience, and a number of core and optional courses focused on entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship are offered. Interactive curriculum delivery in this program promotes critical thinking and problem solving. A strategically sequential co-op structure serves to maximize the link between theory and practice.

Graduates from the program will be ready to perform all human resources functions within the business environment.  Demonstrating the skills and competencies such as the ability to communicate effectively collaborate with others and displaying initiative and perseverance, graduates will possess the required knowledge, skills and abilities to be a key person within the organization.

As we enter the next industrial revolution, advanced technology demands interdisciplinary skills. Mechatronics is the interdisciplinary study of electrical, mechanical and computing systems. Students gain expertise in electrical, mechanical, and computer engineering, and explore how these disciplines are interconnected. Using the systems level approach, students develop both the applied skills and theoretical knowledge to build, troubleshoot and support next generation industrial systems. Students acquire an understanding of electronics, digital circuits, motor control, robotics, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), pneumatics, hydraulic systems, machining, dynamics, stress analysis, the internet of things, web and database systems, and interface programming. Through an official partnership with Siemens, students prepare for industry recognized certifications including the Siemens Mechatronics Systems Certification program (SMSCP) certification. Students gain experience in problem solving, and effective oral and written communications through examination of current industry trends and requirements. Co-op terms provide opportunities to experience real-life industry skills, networking, and potential career paths.

In this program, students are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and professionalism necessary to conduct applied research in sectors such as marketing, tourism, media, government, public affairs, education, health, non-profit and social service agencies. Students are provided with hands-on experience and focus on the entire research process. Students formulate research questions, develop research designs, collect information from primary and secondary sources, perform data analysis, interpret results, communicate findings, and develop strategic recommendations. Additional features of the program include an emphasis on traditional and emerging qualitative and quantitative methodologies, the use of technology, effective communication processes, and adherence to professional and ethical standards.

This program provides students with a degree-level education in business management with an applied focus for the automotive industry. Students learn current issues, trends and technologies that prepare them in adopting proactive approaches in identifying and responding to changes in the automotive industry. Instruction, lecture and discussion delivery promotes critical thinking and problem solving skills and classes will often include a guest speaker series with industry representatives in attendance. Labs are a substantial part of the program and the student run Auto Show is the largest lab of its kind in Canada.
