The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) is a four-year baccalaureate degree in business for students interested in careers in the fields of Accounting, Business, and Marketing. The degree provides a solid foundation of theory and practical knowledge with specialized courses in each of the three concentrations. The BBA is highly applied in that students work closely with organizations, applying their knowledge to business situations as they learn.

Marketing Management is a dynamic field with variety of employment opportunities. Organizations large or small, established or newly-formed require marketing professionals to succeed. Langara graduates have a solid foundation in general marketing, sales, advertising, distribution, e-commerce, and marketing research. As well, they choose from specialized courses in special events marketing, consumer behaviour, customer relationship marketing, retail marketing and public relations. As with all our programs, the curriculum is rounded out with courses in Communications, Math, Economics and general education electives.

Students interested in Marketing Management should apply to the BBA program through the School of Management and then select Marketing Management as their concentration.

Health Sciences is an interdisciplinary field in which graduates can find careers in science, global health, or public policy, or can continue their studies in graduate school.

When successfully completed, the general and specific requirements of this diploma will prepare students for entry into the third-year of Simon Fraser University's BA in Health Sciences.

This Post Degree Diploma in Business Administration (PDD-BA) is for students who hold a bachelor’s degree and wish to pursue a career in business.  It is student-centred, and its primary aim is to give graduates real business skills – the skills that employers are looking for.

This PDD-BA is a two-year program consisting of three semesters of in-class studies plus a one-semester experiential work term which provides students with a career experience work placement.  This program will be offered in the daytime during weekdays.

The two-year Diploma in Arts and Science (Family Studies) Program is for individuals interested in understanding the nature of long-term relationships to further personal and/or career objectives. It is the only such program offered in the BC College system.

A Diploma in Arts and Science (Family Studies) requires a minimum of 60 credit hours of study. Up to 15 credit hours may include courses from the career and kinesiology course selections. Students must achieve a minimum ‘C’ GPA in the program’s core course offerings to be awarded a diploma. As part of the Interdisciplinary Studies Department, the broad range of courses provides students with a sound basis for continuing their studies in a variety of academic disciplines including Psychology, Sociology, Education, Social Work, and Family Sciences.

Selections from the program’s offerings, taken in conjunction with Langara College’s Certificate in Social Service Worker Program, would allow a student to complete a College Diploma in Co-ordinated Studies.

A general business management education provides the versatility to work in a variety of management careers. Langara College’s Business Management graduates are the chameleons of the work world and are able to draw on their solid business education to tackle business opportunities and problems. As well, those with an entrepreneurial spirit will gain the expertise to operate their own enterprise. In addition to courses from a variety of business areas including marketing, financial management and international business, students who choose this concentration complete general education support courses.

The Business Management Diploma Program prepares graduates for entry level management positions in small to medium businesses. It is also designed to provide aspiring entrepreneurs with the practical skills and knowledge to succeed in today’s tough market place.

Data Analytics focuses on the entire lifecycle of the data analytics process. The Mathematics and Statistics Department offers two data analytics programs. Both programs cover the entire life-cycle of data from extraction, transformation, analysis of data to the presentation of results. Students in the program will work with industry-standard software applications to analyze data and gain skills to effectively communicate their findings.

This two-year full-time diploma program is designed for anyone who like working with data and interpreting results to support technical and strategic business decisions. The cohort-based program ends with a capstone project to apply their knowledge before starting a new career. Students will have the opportunity to develop strong project management and team building skills.

Data Analytics equips graduates with the skills and tools to divide and conquer massive data sets. Through collaboration with industry partners, students will gain experience handling real-life data from fields such as telecommunications, finance, and health care industries.

The four Langara College programs in Health Sciences offer an interdisciplinary approach to the study of health, illness, and disease in human communities. Health is one of the largest employment sectors in the country, and is anticipated to grow at a faster than average rate. Employment options are diverse, and extend far beyond serving as doctors or nurses.  Upon successful completion, students of Health Sciences programs will have gained a strong basic background in this rapidly changing field.

Students may pursue programs in either an Arts or Science stream, and earn a Diploma or an Associate Degree. After completing an Associate degree program, students may continue their studies at Simon Fraser University’s Faculty of Health Sciences or the University of Victoria’s Health & Community Services program, transferring seamlessly into third year studies.

 Students may also transfer the Diploma or Associate Degree to university in order to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science or in a related discipline.

Philosophy is the discipline which develops the ability to think clearly about fundamental questions, including those that frequently lie at the root of other disciplines. Philosophy asks questions about the nature of knowledge, reality, truth, consciousness, freedom, moral obligation, aesthetic value, happiness, justice, and virtue--questions asked by those who seek to understand themselves, their society, and their world. The Digital Music Production Program is an intensive, one-year full-time certificate program designed for the modern independent music producer and composer to work in recordings, film, TV, gaming, advertising and multimedia.

With their own mobile production studio and industry-standard music production software, students will develop a wide range of skills and gain hands-on experience in a home studio as well as professional recording studio environment. Program elements include:

• Electronic Music Production: Students will compose and construct original compositions and remixes with Ableton Live, Logic Pro, ProTools, and some of the leading 'soft synths' in the industry. 
• Music Theory: Developing your craft as a music creator involves a dedicated effort to understanding how music is composed and structured. It is essential to speak the language of music in order to communicate with other musicians. Our theory courses are designed to provide a strong foundation for DJs, film, television, and game composers, music producers and songwriters.
• Recording and Studio Engineering: A core focus of the program, students will be introduced to the theory and practice of the professional recording arts. They will understand how music is recorded at a professional level, both in commercial studios and on their mobile setups. Students will learn ProTools with a certified ProTools Instructor.
• Mixing and Mastering Music: All modern music recordings have been mixed and mastered for mass distribution, and students will learn a detailed professisonal approach to the technical and artistic aspects of each.
• Composing for Film/Mixed Media/Advertising: Learning how to compose music for mixed media and trans-media projects can offer significant career opportunities in the industry. 
• Music Business and Career Planning:  This career-focused class offers students the core skills required to navigate the creative industries they will be working within upon graduation. Topics include legal aspects of the music business, marketing and promotion, distribution, understanding social media, and website creation.

The Post-Degree Diploma in Accounting (PDD-A) is for students who hold a bachelor's degree and wish to pursue a career in accounting. Applicants who do not hold a degree in business or commerce are advised that this is a very rigorous program. It meets the requirements for entry-level education of the Chartered Professional Accountants Professional Education Program (PEP).
