• A third year of study provides advanced knowledge of financial and management accounting, corporate taxation and audit techniques, focused on obtaining the ACAF certification.

• Work in the kitchen and dining room of Resto 213, Loyalist’s on-campus student-run gourmet restaurant.
• Students participate in The Art of Flavour dinners throughout the year, which provides exposure to different styles of cuisine and winemaking, as well as potential job connections. 
• Earn first-hand experience in all aspects of culinary management — from hosting and service, food preparation, pricing and menu design, to developing marketing strategies.
• Students also prepare food for the Loyalist Market, a retail outlet offering an amazing variety of fresh and frozen products designed and created by Culinary students.

In this hands-on program, you’ll earn a full spectrum of skills ranging from television production and digital filmmaking to web streaming and interactive content creation. With access to digital cameras, audio, lighting, and grip equipment we enable Loyalist College students to tell stories with impressive production values and create meaningful work for their portfolios.

You will learn how to meet the needs of the television and digital media broadcast industry by applying industry-standard production equipment, using strategies that enhance work performance an:d

• Operate industry standard production equipment, in-studio and on location, to create television, video, and/or web content for multiple platforms
• Keep current with the needs of the television and digital media broadcast industry using strategies that enhance work performance and guide professional development
• Plan and prepare interviews, scripts, and reporting content for use in television, video, or digital media productions
• Participate in marketing activities to promote independent productions and/or a station’s brand and products
• Evaluate the artistic and technical success of filmmaking and multimedia projects to build a toolkit of strategies to meet client and audience needs

Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) are in demand in virtually every field, including public accounting, industry, arts and entertainment, as well as not-for-profit sectors. In the Ontario Tech University BCOM Stream program, you can earn a diploma and a Bachelor of Commerce degree in just four years.

Earn five Ontario Tech University BCOM credits during your two-year diploma studies at Loyalist and gain direct entry to third-year degree studies in the Ontario Tech University Faculty of Business and Information Technology.

• Build on your studies at Loyalist with further study at Ontario Tech University in advanced auditing, information systems, financial and managerial accounting, taxation, and financial statement analysis.
• Eligible students can apply to the Bachelor of Commerce Accounting major, which is aligned with CPA Ontario for entry into the CPA Professional Education Program.
