Electronics Engineering Technologists are always plugged in. They know how to diagnose and solve electronic system issues and develop best practices. You'll learn how to design, commission, test, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain and support electronic systems. During your second year, further specialization is available in communication systems and biomedical systems at our Saint John campus, and industrial controls at our Moncton campus. In this wired world, Electronics Engineering Technologists are never short on work.

Structural experts plan with durability in mind. They assist in the design and construction of building systems and perform site inspections and testing. You’ll learn about steel, timber and reinforced concrete design, soils and materials testing, and quantity surveying. Our two-year program and industry work experience also provides general communication and mathematics skills for making your mark on the business world. Quality Assurance Testers detect performance issues before software products reach consumers. They conduct software trials for industry sectors including finance, education, game development, architecture, and all facets of business. Working as a member of a software development team, you'll learn how to design automated testing tools and programs and make recommendations for product quality and release readiness. As companies continue to do more comprehensive testing at all stages of software development, the future looks bright for Quality Assurance Testers.

Machinists are skilled craftspersons who use precision metal cutting and grinding machines to fabricate high quality parts. They understand the methods behind using a variety of tools to measure, cut, drill, form, shape, grind and finish metal, plastic or similar materials. You’ll learn how to produce parts based on engineered drawings and how to diagnose mechanical malfunctions. In a heightened world of industrial production, businesses rely on machinists to maximize overall performance and output.

Network Support professionals are the backbone of modern business. They offer desktop and server support and are skilled in repair and configuration. You’ll learn how to build, maintain, and upgrade a computer network infrastructure using the Cisco Networking Academy CCNA suite of courses. Our hands on approach to learning means that you’ll also create and control your own computer network in our fully equipped lab. Electrical specialists who enjoy the grit and physical demands of building projects will find rewarding work on construction and renovation teams. They are relied upon for their expertise at electrical systems installation and operation. In accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code and the National Building Code, you’ll learn fundamental wiring practices, pipe threading and bending techniques, cable tray installation, and other necessary skills. With smart technology on the rise, trained Electricians are value-added members of modern construction teams. 

Truck and Transport Service Technicians put big rigs back on the open road. They examine transport vehicles for defects, locate the cause of malfunctions, overhaul mechanical components, check electrical and fuel systems, repair problems, and fit and reassemble new parts. You’ll learn how some of the largest motor vehicles operate and the nuts and bolts of every part. In our global market, the transportation of goods in a timely manner is vital, and service technicians are critical to successful business.

The Human Service Practitioner program prepares learners for a career in the field of human services.  Graduates will work alongside individuals, their families and their communities, playing an active role in assisting them to meet their needs and increase participation in society. The program focuses on assisting vulnerable individuals with complex needs who are experiencing challenges in daily life.
Learners will acquire knowledge and skills in strength-based individualized and group programming, communication, human development, exceptionalities, counselling strategies, ethical conduct, crisis response and behavioural change. This knowledge will be integral to assisting individuals to develop and keep valued social roles.
 
Within this diploma program, learners also participate in experiential and applied learning opportunities that will allow for the integration of theory and application of concepts.
