Emphasis is placed on developing and enhancing the required verbal and written communication skills to confidently engage clients, interact with internal and external stakeholders, and provide quality customer service.
 
The Client Service and Sales program may be delivered through a combination of in-class and on-line instruction. Simulations and real-life examples may be used to support hands-on communication, sales, and keyboarding practice during the learning of "talk-tech-type" engagement with clients. Students develop the necessary technical skills to perform in a multi-faceted and fast-paced contact centre environment. A workplace experience at the end of the program provides students with exposure to a contact centre facility during which they learn about the operations of a contact centre, observe client service representatives in action, and relate their experience to their newly acquired knowledge and skills.  This experience also provides students with networking and relationship-building opportunities.

The Business Administration: Financial Management program will prepare you to write the Canadian Securities Course Examination or the Canadian Investment Funds Exam. Graduates of the two-year Business Administration program who have achieved a minimum of a 70% average each program year may be able to transfer into the third year of a four-year degree program at Cape Breton University (CBU) or the University of New Brunswick Saint John (UNBSJ). NBCC is committed to furthering our university relationships; therefore, other university agreements may be available.

The Supply Chain Management and Logistics program provides learners with the knowledge and skills to manage supply chains and coordinate logistics.  The program explores the integrated nature of supply chains systems and their connections to stakeholder and strategic objectives.  Learners will learn about the production, acquisition and sale of goods, services, and material, as well as the logistics required to bring these goods and services to market.  The program includes essential business principles such as financial management that guides supply chain design and decision- making.  It integrates a customer-centric philosophy throughout with emphasis on the development of leadership and communication skills, essential for negotiations and maintaining strategic relationships.  Focus will include the use of industry technologies as well as quality and continuous improvement processes, systems, and techniques.
