Heavy industry types all have a millwright on speed dial. If you’re ready to answer the call, our Industrial Mechanic program is for you. We introduce you to metal processing, basic welding and cutting, sheet metal work, machine shop practices, maintenance and troubleshooting. You will progress from simple hand and machine processes to more exacting operations such as machining, fitting and reassembly. The trade theory and practical work of this program are supported by instruction in trade-related mathematics, physics, communications, blueprint reading, shop safety and basic metallurgy.

Process Control Technicians are smooth operators. They analyze, adjust, and optimize process units and equipment in industrial facilities to ensure successful outcomes. You’ll learn specific skills in thermodynamics, applied chemistry, instrumentation and controls, and electrical devices, as well as general knowledge related to process control operations in plant settings. Our work practicum provides you with hands-on learning and counts toward trade requirements. Canada’s energy sector growth means that Process Control Technicians are in high demand.

The Educational Support program prepares learners for a career in educational settings supporting students with learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, sensory or physical disabilities and behavioural challenges. This program will prepare learners to be part of a multidisciplinary team that supports students with diverse learning needs while maintaining a safe and inclusive environment that promotes students’ well-being.

Within this two-year diploma program, learners also participate in experiential and applied learning opportunities that allow further integration of theory and application.

The Human Service Practitioner program prepares learners for a career in the field of human services.  Graduates will work alongside individuals, their families and their communities, playing an active role in assisting them to meet their needs and increase participation in society. The program focuses on assisting vulnerable individuals with complex needs who are experiencing challenges in daily life.
Learners will acquire knowledge and skills in strength-based individualized and group programming, communication, human development, exceptionalities, counselling strategies, ethical conduct, crisis response and behavioural change. This knowledge will be integral to assisting individuals to develop and keep valued social roles.
 
Within this diploma program, learners also participate in experiential and applied learning opportunities that will allow for the integration of theory and application of concepts.

July 1, 2014 marked a dramatic change in the practice of pharmacy in New Brunswick. As pharmacists expand their scope, spending increasing amounts of time in direct patient care, the opportunity for pharmacy technicians to take more responsibility in patient care has created a need for regulation of pharmacy technicians. Our program, nationally accredited by the Canadian Council of Accreditation for Pharmacy Programs (CCAPP), combines an exciting blend of theory, lab classes and applied workplace experiences in hospital and community pharmacies. Note: An accelerated study option is available for this program beginning in April. Students enrolled in this option continue their studies throughout the entire calendar year, enabling them to complete the program requirements within 20 months of full-time study.

Learners acquire knowledge and ability in the areas of human development and relations, family dynamics and support, interpersonal communications, counseling, program planning, social policy and legislation, and advocacy. In this program, there’s a focus on how to effectively intervene and work with a diverse clientele who may be experiencing poverty, domestic violence, social, emotional, behavioral or mental health trauma, or other challenging life events.

Electronics Engineering Technologists are always plugged in. They know how to diagnose and solve electronic system issues and develop best practices. You'll learn how to design, commission, test, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain and support electronic systems. During your second year, further specialization is available in communication systems and biomedical systems at our Saint John campus, and industrial controls at our Moncton campus.
