This three-year advanced diploma program provides you with the skills and knowledge to begin your career as a software developer. You will learn programming languages, program design and system analysis. Web concepts are integrated into all courses to develop active database web programs on a variety of operating systems. Advanced techniques are taught through professional option courses.
You will demonstrate skills through a capstone project for an industry partner in your final year to demonstrate your skills and preparedness for a career in the industry. Graduates of this program will enter the industry with highly employable programming, database, software development and communications skills.

Optional Co-op
Students meeting all academic requirements may have the opportunity to complete an optional co-op work term(s) in a formal work environment. In this two-year diploma program, you will acquire the specialized knowledge and skills required to safely and competently dispense subnormal vision devices, contact lenses and eyeglasses. You will also learn the basic science of sight and optics and develop practical spectacle fabrication and dispensing skills.

Work Experience

This four-year degree program combines theory with practice, allowing you to develop critical and strategic skills required for human resource management. You will gain necessary technical knowledge including HRIMS/SAP, data mining and metrics.

As a graduate of this program, you will have the required knowledge to pursue several key industry designations such as:

• Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation through the Human Resources Professionals Association
• The Microsoft Office Specialist Certificate through Microsoft

Mandatory Degree Co-op
A work experience that includes at least one term in a formal work environment. Students must be in good standing and meet all identified requirements prior to participating in the work experience. The successful completion of the co-op work term(s) is required for graduation. Eligibility for participation does not guarantee that a work position will be secured. This two-year diploma program provides you with a solid technical understanding and practical knowledge of international transportation, customs brokerage and international freight forwarding. You will gain valued expertise and knowledge to help companies effectively manage the movement of goods and services internationally in our complex global economy. Your learning will be further advanced by current and industry expert faculty members.
As a graduate of this program, you will receive a certificate from MSR, the e-customs company, and there will be opportunities for you to pursue a certificate in international freight forwarding from the Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association (CIFFA).

This two-year program will prepare you to become a visual merchandiser who can expertly style a brand’s image with mannequins, merchandise, pop-up locations, window displays and store fronts. You’ll express your innovative ideas using design-based software programs, and get hands-on experience working with luxury retail partners such as Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Holt Renfrew and Harry Rosen.

Field Placement
Through the mandatory field placement, you will gain 80 hours of work experience with our retail partners. Not only will you put into practice the skills developed throughout the program, but you’ll also build a professional network and improve your understanding of the industry. Field placements are varied and may include working in a retail environment, assisting as a fashion stylist during Fashion Week, making props for Toronto’s iconic Santa Claus Parade or working closely with visual designers on exciting industry projects.

White-collar crime is increasing, particularly in the areas of identity theft, money laundering and securities fraud and therefore the need for compliance and risk management professionals is growing in the financial services industry.

In this eight-month graduate certificate program, you will gain the technical and professional skills that are necessary to become a compliance officer. This program covers Canadian regulatory requirements for the banking, insurance and securities industries. You will acquire critical skills such as policies and procedures management, privacy management, and Anti Money Laundering (AML) investigation.

Work Experience
The Financial Services Compliance Administration program does more than just equip graduates with the tools of the trade. It provides you with the opportunity to gain important experience. You are required to complete a compliance administration field placement or industry-related project as part of the program requirements. A Coordinator will work with you to match you with a placement or project opportunity. Upon completion of the program, you will have begun the important first step in the networking process that is critical to finding the position to launch a career in financial services compliance.

This eight-month graduate certificate program is delivered by a team of expert faculty members who will advance your knowledge of digital media fundamentals including social media platforms, tools, and techniques. You will learn to create content, develop campaigns and implement social media and digital engagement strategies to help organizations achieve their objectives.

Through hands-on learning, you will learn how social media can be used in an organizational context. This program was developed in close consultation with industry leaders to ensure that you learn what is relevant, applicable across multiple disciplines and currently in demand.

You will learn about program planning, development and evaluation, transparent and ethical corporate governance, and marketing and sales practices. You will explore the latest trends in fundraising, partnerships-building, and volunteer engagement.  

You will also learn how to apply common 'for-profit' business practices that are adapted and applied to a non-profit organization. Drawing on local, national and international cases, you will be exposed to the diversity of the sector and the challenges in managing large and small organizations.
