Gain the fundamental knowledge needed to work in the field of mechanical engineering! In addition to basic math and science, you’ll study advanced subjects such as calculus, machine kinematics, fluid power, process controls and industrial practices. Learn about the latest equipment and technologies, including programmable logic controllers, materials testing and additive manufacturing.

Co-op
Students in this program may apply to the co-op program during their first academic semester. Enrolment in the co-op program is limited through an additional co-op application process that takes place in the first semester. Students in the co-op program are eligible to complete a co-op work term during the 4-month term following the second semester. Co-operative Education is a form of work-integrated learning that links classroom learning with paid or unpaid work experiences within a professional environment. Co-op work terms are related specifically to the academic studies of each student. The work terms provide an opportunity to learn by doing. You’ll apply theory to practice, develop a meaningful view of the working world, and cultivate an awareness of yourself as a professional.

This program is the first of its kind in Canada. It addresses the need for a new way of looking at community safety, focusing on prevention, preparedness and social justice. Traditional law enforcement methods are expensive and don’t always address the diverse needs of Canadian society. That’s why the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police, non-profits, and graduate programs endorse this degree.

You'll take a range of courses in the humanities and social and behavioural sciences, and develop analytical skills that will help you succeed in your future studies at university. The two-year program focuses on technical and professional skills required to work in a variety of Health Service settings. You will learn to use specialized medical software, OHIP billing, electronic calendaring and scheduling, and communication software applications.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain work experience and evaluate different career paths.
