At King’s, the biology program guides you to a deeper understanding of the complexity of life, in all its forms, so that you will become a better steward of creation.

Through laboratory experience and hands-on research in the field, students in the biology program study wild and wonderful creatures in their natural habitats, and gain insight into the mechanisms of human health and genetics. Biology students at King’s conduct research in the Rocky Mountains, analyze DNA in our biochemistry lab, and study plant life in our campus greenhouse. From human anatomy to molecular biology, King’s biology program digs deep into the inner workings of life in God’s creation.

The Kinesiology minor provides a general introduction into the field of human health science. The program equips students with knowledge and skills pertaining to healthy living and movement. King's Kinesiology program focuses on sports, wellness, coaching, and teaching but is also useful for students who want to dig deeper into anatomy, physiology, and nutrition.

Go beyond the classroom by learning individual and team sports. Understand how to come alongside others to help them lead lives enriched by leisure and activity. King's Music program guides you to a richer understanding of the role music plays in a well-lived life and engages in the beauty, drama, intellectual rigour, and healing power of western classical music. An equal emphasis is placed on classroom learning and private instrument instruction and you will find countless performance opportunities to hone your craft and do what you love—making music!

Modeled after the acclaimed and widely recognized Philosophy, Politics, and Economics major at Oxford University, the Politics, History & Economics (PHE) program at King's is a unique interdisciplinary degree that prepares students for life and careers in law, policy, the public sphere, and much more.

This means there is an increasing demand for business graduates in this sector. Students who choose this stream could get jobs as government policy analysts or sustainability specialists.

King's Environmental Studies (ENVS) B.A. and B.Sc. programs prepare students to address sustainability issues with a broad knowledge of its ecological, social, and economic dimensions. In addition to course work, internships and field trips provide practical, hands-on skills and experiences. The program introduces students to principles and practices for building environmentally sustainable societies and lifestyles by examining the causes of environmental harm, and exploring theories, policies, techniques, and management approaches that support the restoration and flourishing of our planet. 

Through King’s ENVS programs, students develop skills such as mapping, geographical information systems (GIS), environmental impact assessment, policy analysis, statistical analysis, and strong oral and written communication. Both Environmental Studies programs are fully accredited by Eco Canada and equip graduates for future employment in this fast growing and dynamic sector.

Bachelor of Science: for students interested in the natural sciences and the workings of the natural world as explored in the lab, out in the field, and by using computers. These interests can be pursued through sub concentrations in Biology, Chemistry, and Computing Science.
