The MA in Leadership degrees are offered with two foundational curriculum themes – Transformational Servant Leadership and Values-Based Leadership. Health Care Specialization
As organizations become increasingly resourceful, the need for effective leaders has also intensified. Trinity Western’s MA in Leadership for health equips professionals with the skills to adapt to the health care sector’s growing complexity and changing priorities, by offering a leadership model that emphasizes people and teamwork – a model with proven organizational effectiveness in the Canadian health care sphere.

Finance Specialization

As a History student at TWU, you’ll become aware of the processes of change and the development of peoples, institutions, environments, and ideas over time.

Awareness of history is a prerequisite for informed citizenship and for understanding how to live as a person of faith in the world. Furthermore, government and business employers are becoming more concerned about understanding political issues, social problems, and public attitudes. Knowledgeable and thoughtful historians can be effective leaders in gaining and sharing an understanding of culture and, thus, making informed decisions.

TWU’s Laurentian Leadership Centre in Ottawa gives you an opportunity to study Canada’s history while also completing an internship that enables you to apply your historical skills in a government or industry setting.

Students who graduate form the Kinesiology Stream within the School of Human Kinetics, have many professional opportunities including membership in BCAK (British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists), certification as fitness leaders, personal trainers, performance coaches and advancement into further studies in health, medicine, physiotherapy, exercise physiology, and more.

Within the Kinesiology Stream, there is an opportunity for students to specialize in strength and conditioning. This ‘specialization’ is recognized through the National Strength and Condtioning Association (NSCA) as an ‘Approved Educational Program (one of only 3 in Canada). Throughout the Kinesiology program, students are also prepared to write NSCA certification exams for CSCS – Certified Strength & Condtioning Specialist and CPT – Certified Personal Trainer.

As a sociology major, you will gain the knowledge and skills to understand people and contemporary culture.

Our exceptional faculty have specialized in culture, race and ethnicity, social inequality, family, religion, and social change. Our sociology students also have the option of completing the Human Services certificate program. This program has an applied focus in sociology, with opportunities to choose from a wide variety of practicums in helping professions. Practicums include areas in social service agencies that are governmental, non-governmental, profit or non-profit organizations, or faith-based organizations.

Sociology students may complete a semester at the Laurentian Leadership Centre in Ottawa, where they complete classes toward their degree while enjoying a rewarding internship.

Our Bachelor Of Arts (Ba) Music Program Offers
Specialization in one of four options:

• Performance - Prepare for a career in the performing arts and/or private music instruction.
• Music Education - Develop your skills to teach in private or public schools.
• General Music - Receive advanced professional training for a variety of musical careers such as conducting, composition, or a range of options within the music industry.
• Worship Arts - Strengthen your skills, develop a firm theological foundation, and be inspired to help create the future of worship music. Internship at a local church is a key component of this program.

Mathematics is the language and enabler of science and technology, providing us with the necessary tools for analyzing economic trends, forecasting weather, doing research in the social sciences and other disciplines, and making informed business decisions.

As a student of mathematics, you will explore the many disciplines of pure and applied mathematics—logic, number theory, calculus, algebra, topology, analysis, modelling, and numeric methods. A degree in mathematics can lead you to many different careers options, including elementary teacher, scientific researcher, civil engineer, statistician, software developer, and economist.

Through our philosophy courses, you will refine your perspectives on the importance of ethics, how humans think, and the need to think consistently and clearly. A Philosophy degree prepares you for many career opportunities including law, business, and government.
