What you will learn   
This program will equip you with global literacy and key insights into our interconnected world. You will take classes that explore government, business, culture, the environment, politics and international aspects of law, science, conflict and development. You will learn about inequality globally, challenges to cooperation among states, and the reasons for and complexity of crises and conflicts. You will understand and engage with some of the world’s most pressing issues.

The Bachelor of Arts and Science (B.A. & Sc.) degrees are distinct degrees combining the science disciplines with studies in the humanities, social sciences, and/or fine arts.  These unique and highly completive interdisciplinary programs are focused in areas of high demand and allow students to make connections needed to succeed in these areas. Health Studies

• This program examines the issue of health and wellness, including mental health, from a variety of perspectives including how biological, cultural, social, and environmental contexts influence the health and well-being of the individual.

What you will learn

• You will learn about issues of health ranging from biological, psychological, cultural and environmental and how factors such as genetics, personality, attitudes and abilities influence healthy social and emotional development throughout the life span. You will study the role of cultural and community processes in health and healing and examine how groups interact with their environment in healthy and unhealthy ways.

French is spoken in 57 countries worldwide and is one of Canada's official languages. With globalization progressing at a rapid speed, studying French and the cultures where it’s spoken will provide you with valuable communicative skills and a competitive edge in any career.

What you will learn
You will be offered instruction in French language and literature, both in the original and in translation, and courses in the civilizations and cultures of France and French-Canada. You will study canonical writers and works of historical and global significance as well as Francophone writers and works from Saskatchewan and the prairies.

Statistics is the science of learning from data. Statisticians can analyze and draw practical conclusions from data and provide crucial guidance in determining what information is reliable and which predictions can be trusted. Many economic, social, political, and military decisions cannot be made without statistical techniques.

What you will learn
You will study principles of experimental design and methods for data collection, analysis and interpretation.

Economics is the science describing the production and distribution of wealth. Business Economics provides you with a background in both economics and commerce, with special emphasis in economics, so as to prepare you for the world of business, finance, and public service.

This program will provide you with knowledge and the tools to comprehend, assess and analyze the many pressing issues and problems of individuals, businesses and society in an economic context.

The Certificate in Business (CBUS) is an eight-course program that will provide you with the knowledge and skills to be successful in professional business environments. You will be introduced to business foundations and will have opportunities to become a more innovative thinker, a creative problem-solver, an effective contributor and a team leader.

This certificate is offered by the University of Saskatchewan's Edwards School of Business. You may earn the certificate on its own, while pursuing a degree, or after graduating university.
If you are interested in pursuing a degree in business, the Edwards School of Business offers a Bachelor in Commerce with majors in: Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Management, Marketing, and Supply Chain Management.

Whether you are a recent high school graduate, current university student, or a working professional, this degree-level certificate provides an introduction to business and strategy.

Mathematics is the study of structures, patterns, and the use of formal reasoning to enrich our understanding of the world. It can be is used to predict patterns of societal behaviour, design immense structures, analyze disease transmission and build models of national economies. Mathematicians contribute to the formulation and solution of problems in diverse fields such as medicine, economics, computer science and engineering.

What you will learn
Studying mathematics will teach you how to think critically and use logic to solve a surprisingly wide variety of problems in fields such as the physical sciences, economics, biology and many others. You will learn to reason about numbers, shapes, and relations. Using these ideas you will model features of the world with the aid of tools such as differential equations, networks, algebraic structures and much more.

Biology is the study of all living organisms and their relationships and interactions with other living organisms. In a world where climate change, habitat loss and genome discoveries increasingly make headlines, biologists today are presented with an array of exciting challenges and opportunities.

What you will learn
You will examine the unique interactions between various life forms such as cells, parasites, pathogens, animals, plants, insects and humans through studying different elements of biology such as genetics, cell biology, physiology, ecology, population biology, limnology, toxicology, conservation and parasitology. Biology is an excellent choice for students interested in gaining entrance to a health science program, including medicine, dentistry, nursing, and veterinary medicine.

The Bachelor of Commerce (B.Comm.) degree is a four-year program offered by the University of Saskatchewan's Edwards School of Business.
All undergraduate students admitted to the Edwards School of Business are required to complete a common first-year of studies. In January of your second year, you'll apply to a specialization in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Management, Marketing or Supply Chain Management.

Accounting
Accounting is the art of measuring, communicating, and interpreting financial activity, and is sometimes referred to as "the language of business." It involves interacting with numbers and people to determine the financial health of an organization.

What you will learn
The Accounting major is designed to provide students with the general, business and accounting knowledge necessary for them to succeed as professional accountants. Since accounting is a dynamic field, all accounting majors will learn how to keep their knowledge up-to-date so they can continue to grow throughout their professional careers.

You will acquire the communication, computer, and interpersonal skills necessary to successfully resolve complex problems in unstructured settings. You will also benefit from participation in activities such as the Volunteer Tax Program where fourth year accounting students volunteer their time to prepare tax returns for seniors and people with disabilities.

Environment and Society focuses on the interplay between humans and their environment including complex issues such as climate change, population growth, pollution, and management of natural resources faced by our modern society.

What you will learn
You will take courses in a diverse range of topics including the following: hydrology, climatology, vegetation, geomorphology, public policy, political studies, history, philosophy, and statistics. Through exposure to science, social science, and humanities perspectives related to the environment, you will develop an understanding of environmental science, resource management, environmental philosophy, policy, and environmental studies.
