The Edwards Master of Business Administration program is a transformational experience that focuses around teambuilding, leadership and business strategy. You will learn the people skills of management such as how to manage, how to communicate effectively, and how to lead. The Edwards MBA Internship Program (EMIP) is an 8-month work experience which starts in January of the 1st year of your MBA degree. If you're admitted to EMIP, and you're successful in securing a placement, you must agree to complete your MBA over a minimum of two years.

The program is designed for students with little or no work experience in their desired field. An internship is a value-added component of the Edwards MBA Program where you're provided with an opportunity to implement the business theory and concepts from your MBA coursework. Work placements also provide increased opportunities for learning, mentorship and post-graduation employment.

French is spoken in 57 countries worldwide and is one of Canada's official languages. With globalization progressing at a rapid speed, studying French and the cultures where it’s spoken will provide you with valuable communicative skills and a competitive edge in any career.

What you will learn
You will be offered instruction in French language and literature, both in the original and in translation, and courses in the civilizations and cultures of France and French-Canada. You will study canonical writers and works of historical and global significance as well as Francophone writers and works from Saskatchewan and the prairies.

Civil engineers build our physical world - roads and buildings, bridges and tunnels, airports and subway systems, water and sewage systems. They may specialize in foundation analysis, building and structural inspection, surveying and municipal planning.

Engineering physics is a bridge between pure and applied science, utilizing fundamental concepts in today’s rapidly changing and highly technical engineering environment. An engineering physicist is motivated by the application of science for advancing technology and sustainability.

Study a wide variety of scientific areas that address preservation and processing of raw commodities into healthy, safe and appealing foods. Apply this knowledge to global food issues involving the relationship between food and human health and food security to develop a safe and nutritious food supply.

What you will learn
You will learn the chemical and physical nature of foods, causes of food deterioration, basis of food safety, and principles of food processing, preservation and packaging. You will examine what’s happening to meet consumer demand for nutrition, debate issues of food additives versus natural foods, learn about natural toxicants and research new methods of detecting unsafe or unwholesome food.

Biomedical foundations provides students with a strong foundation of multidisciplinary training in biomedical science while providing flexibility for initial specialization within a particular biomedical science.

What you will learn
This program includes necessary courses to prepare you for entry into health-related professional schools not requiring a four-year degree, such as dentistry, veterinary medicine and pharmacy. You will also learn essential skills for careers in broad aspects of biotechnology, as well as employment in academic/research institutions and related industries.
 

Cellular, physiological and pharmacological sciences is the study of the structure, function and development of organisms at the molecular, subcellular, cellular, tissue and organ levels. It investigates the functions and mechanisms of major systems of the human body and studies the effects and mode of action of drugs which modify major body systems.

What you will learn
You will study human anatomy, cell biology, neurobiology, skeletal biology, embryonic development, histology, and anatomical imaging. You will also study the properties of chemical compounds in relation to their interactions with living organisms and examine the basis for the discovery and study of drug actions either as therapeutic agents or as tools in physiological research. These fields can be used to advance medical science with clinical relevance to osteoarthritis, Alzheimer's disease, peripheral nerve damage and repair, multiple sclerosis, aging, cancer and pain.

Environmental engineers apply science and engineering principles to protect and improve public health and the environment, including our air, water and land.

Crop scientists contribute to global food security by increasing local and global food production, developing new crop varieties, and protecting plants from disease and environmental stresses. Discover alternatives to traditional cropping systems and learn to improve the quality and nutrition of crops that feed the world.

What you will learn
Crop Science is the study of agricultural issues and challenges, including:

• Resource use consistent with sustainable production of food, feed, fibre and fuel
• Production, processing and marketing of high quality food and non-food products
• Research
• Development and implementation of innovative and efficient production
• Processing and marketing systems.

Crop Science integrates a broad range of disciplines, including genetics, pathology, crop quality and biotechnology, leading to the development of superior varieties of horticulture and field crops.

Chemical engineers – also known as process engineers – are practical chemists who solve problems or create useful products. They research, design, and develop chemical processes and equipment while seeking to reduce our impact on the environment.
