This is a postgraduate program of 3 years duration recognised by the Medical Council of India. It involves rotational postings in the Departments of Anatomy , Orthopaedics and Radiology.

The Department is equipped with a state of art Dissection Hall, Histology Laboratory, and a Departmental Research Laboratory. The Anatomy Museum has an extensive and varied collection with various sections pertaining to Comparative Anatomy, Radiology, Embryology, Neuroanatomy and Gross Anatomy. The student gains proficiency in Dissection, Histological techniques, Histology, Embryology , Osteology, Radiological and Cross Sectional Anatomy under the supervision of experienced teachers.

The student is trained extensively in Pedagogical skills by being actively involved in teaching undergraduate students under supervision. This extensive practical training is supplemented with providing the student with a sound theoretical base with the aid of lectures, seminars, micro-teaching sessions and journal clubs. The course gives an excellent opportunity to the student to study Anatomy, its application and all its subspecialities in detail. It facilitates the development of Pedagogical and Research Skills, which help the student become a teacher par excellence.

Kaumarbhritya is one of the most important branches amongst Astanga Ayurveda as it deals with prevention and cure of childhood diseases. The aim of this branch is better development of children, who are tomorrow’s future. “A healthy and brilliant child is a National wealth”. Tomorrow’s nation is built on today’s healthy child! The children are prone to many diseases because of their immature immune system.

There is a wide scope for Ayurved in pediatric practice. eg.

• To increase immunity of a child.
• To provide best mental health case.
• Excellent supportive management of malnutrition.
• Management of allergic disorders, especially respiratory allergies.
• Management of genetic disorders like DMD and other myopathies.
• This branch has various specialties for new born & growing children. Dietary and behavioral guidelines, maintains the healthy status of a child & all round development. From diagnostic & treatment point of view children are delicate & this branch helps from every point of view, for the same.

This course is common to all the students. This course includes an update of the Basic Sciences such as Biomechanics & Applied Physiotherapy, Biophysics, etc for improving abilities in functional diagnosis and clinical reasoning. This course also includes Allied Subjects such as Management, Ethics & Teaching Technology. 

This course includes the study of any one Specialty selected from above & an independent research project/ dissertation, preferably based on the Specialty.

The MDS in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, abbreviated as (MDS OMFS) is a 3-year postgraduate program designed for a career practice in the field of Faciomaxillary Surgery. The curriculum of the course is designed to enhance the academic, clinical, and interpersonal skills for a wide range of career options in Oral and Maxillofacial departments.

MBA Biotechnology is a 2-year post-graduation course in Biotechnology which teaches the fundamentals of both business and biotechnology. The syllabus is designed to provide an understanding of the economics driving this emerging technology.

This is a three year postgraduate program recognised by the Medical Council of India. The program involves rotational postings in the departments of Radiology, Anatomy, TB and Chest Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Cardiology. Our department is well equipped with state of art infrastructure, which includes 1.5 Tesla MRI with all coils, 128 slice CT scan, multiple sonography, doppler, Xray, bone densitometry, mammography and fluoroscopy machines. All scans are digitally stored in our PACS, ensuring that a vast array of clinical material is available to our residents on the click of a button.

We have very experienced and dedicated faculty , who assist the learning process. Besides a hand- held practical training program, residents are taught basic principles of radiation physics, ultrasound, safety guidelines in Radiology Clinics, maintenance of expensive equipment, and maintenance of records, especially pertaining to the PC-PNDT act. While we take special efforts in making our students proficient in the performance and interpretation of routine radiological procedures, we keep them abreast of recent advances in the field. The student is also exposed to the ever expanding field of interventional radiology.

The course gives excellent clinical and research experience to the student. It facilitates the development of excellent radiological and interpretational skills, along with a sound judgement in the practice of Radiology and its various sub-specialities.

MBA in Banking & Insurance is a 2-year postgraduate Banking and Insurance course.

This is a post-graduate program of 3 years duration recognised by the Medical Council of India. The program includes rotational postings in the Departments of Anaesthesia, Medicine, Surgery , Critical Care, Paediatrics & Emergency Medicine. The student is also posted in the Super speciality Departments of Paediatric Surgery, Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery and Paediatric Surgery. The student is also trained to administer Palliative Care.

The extensive practical training imparted to the student is supported by a teaching program that involves lectures, journal clubs, and case discussions. Our state of art Simulation Laboratory, is an invaluable aid to augment the learning of practical skills.

The experience gained by the student facilitates the development of exceptional clinical skills and a sound judgement in the practice of Anaesthesia and all its sub-specialities.

The student acquires clinical and practical skills by observation and by being involved in the management of patients under expert supervision , in the Out Patient Department, Casualty, ward and Intensive Care Unit setting. The student is trained in Trauma Management, management of Medical Emergencies and mass casualties.

 This course is common to all the students.
