MBA in Pharmaceutical Management is a 2-year postgraduate degree course which focuses at producing skilled professionals for managerial level positions in areas like Drug Manufacturing, Production Management, Pharmaceutical Marketing, Brand Management etc.

This is a 3 year post graduate program recognised by the Medical Council of India. The program includes rotational postings in the Departments of Microbiology, General Medicine, TB and Chest Medicine and Dermatology.

The student gains a good practical experience in our Microbiology and state of art Serology Laboratories. The close collaboration of the department with National AIDS Control Organisation and National Tuberculosis Control Program, gives the student the opportunity to participate in various Public Health Programmes.

The department supervises the Hospital Infection Control Committee, and issues guidelines regarding antibiotic use in the hospital. This exposure will train the candidate in application of knowledge of Microbiology in the hospital setting and in industry. This practical training is backed by a robust teaching program , where the subject with all its sub-specialities is taught via lectures, seminars, journal clubs and case discussions. The experience gained by the student facilitates the development of excellent laboratory skills and sound judgement in the practice of Microbiology and all its sub-specialities.

The BSc in Culinary Studies is a 3-year program that encompasses 2 years of classroom studies and practicals and 1 year of paid internship in leading 5-star hotels across India. School of Hospitality and Tourism Studies has a tie-up with University College of Birmingham UK, which will enable students to do their internships in the UK. The aim and objectives of the B.P.T curriculum are to educate and train a student as a qualified Physiotherapist who will be able to impart health services safely and effectively to the community in terms of health promotion, functional diagnosis, prevention and treatment of dysfunction in different fields of medical science.

The Ayurveda Department at DY Patil University is unique because we focus on inter and intradepartmental association so that we can create and facilitate the best treatment for a number of diseases based on an amalgamation of topics in healthcare. As a part of the coursework, awareness programs are arranged regularly with the help of PG students, to spread awareness about lifestyle disorders arising due to excessive use of electronic gadgets, like computer vision syndrome, amblyopia, refractive error in early age, squint, allergic disorders etc. We assist in the implementation of the national program for the Prevention of Blindness & Rehabilitation of the visually impaired.

• Plan for and manage formulation and execution of protocols and innovative technologies and/or products.
• Enlighten issues of forensic and genetic identity with case studies.
• Educate basic philosophical and ethical considerations regarding genetic data, genetic manipulation and biosafety issues.
• Explore emerging technologies, innovations, and new products in the field of genomics and proteomics.

Bioinformatics is a scientific discipline that deals with the retrieval, storage, processing, analysis, and management of biological information through computational techniques. It uses mathematics, biology, and information technology to understand the biological importance of an extensive variety of data. Bioinformatics technologies are used in various pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. It is majorly used in the medical sector, driven by the increasing use of bioinformatics for the drug discovery and development process. 

This is a postgraduate program of three years duration recognised by the Medical Council of India. It includes rotational postings in the departments of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Neonatology, General Medicine , General Surgery, Radiology and Pathology. The student is involved in actively managing cases in the Out Patient Department, wards , Labour Ward and Operation Theatres under expert supervision.

In addition to this the student attends and treats patients under expert supervision in the various Speciality Clinics run by the department, namely Cancer Screening and Oncology Clinic, Family Planning OPD, Infertility Clinic, High Risk Pregnancy OPD, Foetal Medicine Clinic, STD Clinic and Adolescent Health Clinic. The student besides gaining proficiency in routine Gynaecologic and Obstetric surgical procedures, is also trained in neonatal resuscitation. These skills are further honed by practicing in our state of art Simulation Laboratory.
