M.Sc. in Medical Lab Technology course is a masters’ level course for students keen to gain expertise in procedures for diagnostic testing in a laboratory. The course helps them analyze and identify substances, and microorganisms using common instruments found in a laboratory. MM(DU) offers B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT), a dedicated course that helps the students evolve as Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technologist. An MLT is an important part of Medical team with full knowledge of diagnosis, prevention and timely treatment of diseases through clinical laboratory tests. As a professional, you would play a key role in identifying abnormalities in the samples such as malignancies, pathogens, or genetic abnormalities.

The course prepares graduates who are competent and skilled to treat various diseases related to kidney and perform dialysis on patients suffering from kidney failure. Students are given in-depth training for using the equipment for dialysis treatment, water treatment monitoring, dialyses reprocessing, vascular access monitoring and also about direct patient care. We also train the students in dialysis prescription interpretation, safety and sanitation, emergency interventions, and professional standards and ethics.

BASLP, Bachelor of Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology, is a four-year programme that covers every aspects related to techniques and methods used in diagnosing and curing hearing, speech, and balance-related disorders amongst individuals. Disorders related to speaking and listening are studied in-depth in this course and then students are trained to treat these disorders and facilitate recovery of the patients.

Radiography, a promineny paramedical professional course is meant to create professionals expert in diagnostic tests for medical treatment with the use of radiation. There is huge scope for Radiographers in Healthcare industry, Diagnostic Department, Intensive Care Units of Hospital and Operating Theatre. It is worth mentioning that radiographers who can perform the ultrasound test are known as sonographers.

Bachelor of Science in Operation Theatre Technology is an industry-oriented course which prepares the students for a challenging and highly rewarding career in a hospital, nursing homes, trauma/emergency centers, Intensive Care units, CSSD etc. Graduates are eligible for employment overseas where their qualifications, training and experience are highly regarded.
