M.Sc. in Medical Lab Technology course is a masters’ level course for students keen to gain expertise in procedures for diagnostic testing in a laboratory. The course helps them analyze and identify substances, and microorganisms using common instruments found in a laboratory. Students are given in-depth knowledge of Chemistry, Human Biology, Organic Chemistry, Haematology, Bacteriology and Medical Technology and practical sessions in laboratory procedures, analysing various substances including glucose, enzymes, electrolytes, spectrometer, laboratory mathematics, and clinical applications.

The undergraduate degree in Nursing is a nationally recognized educational programme that trains the students to assume responsibility in the primary, secondary, and tertiary care of people as professional nurses. The graduates are made capable of teaching and supervising appropriate nursing and health care in different setting and participate in the administration of nursing service and education. B. Sc. in Cardiovascular technology (B.Sc-CVT) is an industry-oriented course with focus on training students in of cardiovascular disease management and care. Students are given in-depth understanding and training to acquire skills for management of various cardiac disorders. The graduates can work as Cardiac Technologists who assist physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac (heart) and peripheral vascular (blood vessel) conditions. They play a crucial role during open-heart surgery or for implanting pacemakers or while monitoring patients during these procedures.

MM(DU)offers B.Sc. Dialysis Therapy course for students keen to gain specialization in practice and usage of dialysis. The course prepares graduates who are competent and skilled to treat various diseases related to kidney and perform dialysis on patients suffering from kidney failure. Students are given in-depth training for using the equipment for dialysis treatment, water treatment monitoring, dialyses reprocessing, vascular access monitoring and also about direct patient care. We also train the students in dialysis prescription interpretation, safety and sanitation, emergency interventions, and professional standards and ethics.

The Department imparts the knowledge of the principles of health promotion and disease prevention among the students. It also helps to achieve knowledge of community based preventive measure and knowledge of social, cultural and environmental factors which contribute to health. The students will be able to administer Oral Hygiene instructions, topical fluoride therapy and fissure sealants to the patients. The department also imparts education regarding the etiology and prevention of Oral Disease and encouraging them by assuring responsibility of their Oral Health. Further the students are also trained to develop and prepare charts, models, posters and visuals on Oral Health Themes with the intention to educate the mass about the importance of Oral Health.

The course addresses different aspects of agriculture including Forestry and Horticulture as well. The students are given in-depth knowledge of scientific agricultural practices and trending farming techniques. The idea is to upgrade their skills and nurture a professional attitude towards agricultural development. The focus of the course is to create professionals who work on promoting best practices in agriculture for rural and national development.

MM(DU) offers B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT), a dedicated course that helps the students evolve as Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technologist. An MLT is an important part of Medical team with full knowledge of diagnosis, prevention and timely treatment of diseases through clinical laboratory tests. As a professional, you would play a key role in identifying abnormalities in the samples such as malignancies, pathogens, or genetic abnormalities.
