The B.A. English (Hons) program aims to provide students with an opportunity to read and respond to novels, plays, and poetry across different genres. Also, students study a variety of literature, socio-cultural, and political issues concerning contemporary English.

Transportation Engineering is a special branch of Civil Engineering which focuses on the various modes of Transportation that includes road ways, bridges, rail ways, marine ways and air ways. It is involved with analysis and design of the transportation routes for men and material movements. The scope is not limited to only design of the Transportation routes but it also includes design of the signaling, traffic managements as well as pavement materials for Transportations. It is also concerned with developing the new materials for construction of bituminous, concrete roads as well as railway sleepers and run way design. The students pursuing this course study about ideas and various research methods to smooth, safe and fast means of by any mode of Transportation. The tunnels, bridges metro, BRTS, Mono rail with environmental concern etc. are the part and partial of these engineering. Further, it also includes the repair and rehabilitation of the distressed roads, railways and bridges. With the increase in infrastructure demand all over the world including India, professionals with Transportation Engineering are in high demand in Core companies, MNC consultancy firms, Government sectors, Road construction, Railways and Bridge construction as well as in academics and R & D sectors.

Civil Engineering is the platform on which all the other engineering branches reside. Objective
With reference to the Final assessment of Marwadi University Civil Engineering Material Testing laboratory in the disciplines of Mechanical Testing conducted by National Accreditation Board for Laboratories (NABL) in June 2017, NABL has evaluated the assessment report and decided grant of accreditation in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025:2005 in the disciplines of Mechanical Testing as per the scope and authorized signatories recommended by the assessment team. With this accreditation, Marwadi University becomes the 1st university in Gujarat, to have a NABL accredited Civil Engineering Material Testing Laboratory which are very few in the country.

Objectives for the course:

• To make the student capable of identifying, analyzing, formulating and solving different civil engineering problems.
• To make them capable of efficiently applying mathematical tools, fundamental knowledge and scientific basis in their word domain.
• To develop a multi-disciplinary approach.To make students able to communicate their ideas in collaboration with other members and preparing effective work plans.

Business analytics refers to the skills, technologies, practices for continuous iterative exploration and investigation of past business performance to gain insight and drive business planning. It focuses on developing new insights and understanding of business performance based on data and statistical methods. In contrast, business intelligence traditionally focuses on using a consistent set of metrics, to both measures past performance and guide business planning, which is also based on data and statistical methods.

MBA Business Analytics program is intended to develop skills, improve analytics competency and provide in-depth knowledge for handling data and Business Analytics tools. On successful completion of the program, you can work in corporate roles in the analytics domain.

The program provides a detailed study in Data and Decisions, Data Mining Techniques, Predictive Analytics, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence, Visual Analytics and Big Data Analytics. You also get a hands-on experience to use tools such as R, Tableau, Microsoft Excel, and Python in this comprehensive specialized program.

This is a three years course following semester system. In three years, consisting six semesters, each semester will be consisting subjects each with 48 hours of classroom interactions. A typical week will be of FIVE working days and of 30 hours, including classroom teaching, library sessions and other assignments and practicing sessions.
