The B.A. Economics (Honours) degree at the Jindal School of Government and Public Policy (JSGP) aims to provide theoretical and practical knowledge that makes accurate analysis of the economic situation possible.

B.A. Economics graduates from JSGP must be able to understand the interrelation between the economy and society: to consider economic problems from a global perspective and take a local approach to solve them; to make connections between an economic system’s different components; to gauge the implications of decisions related to economic policy; and to respond to the economic problems arising from society in general and the different units that interact therein (e.g. institutions, private companies and sectors of the economy).

Jindal Global University offers a well-designed undergraduate curriculum through the Jindal School of Languages and Literature that leads students to proficiency in the Spanish language and familiarity with Hispanic cultures. The duration of the BA (Hons.) Spanish programme is three years (six semesters) full time. The curriculum ensures wide and deep engagement of students with a variety of cultural forms, including literature, drama and other arts (e.g., cinema, music). Students of the programme will have opportunities to be tested for Spanish proficiency certificates that are awarded by official cultural agencies. Many courses of the BA (Hons.) Spanish programme will also be open to students pursuing other degrees.

The programme enables students to attain B2 Spanish proficiency level at the end of the program by completing stages of language learning specified by the internationally accepted Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEF). Graduates will be equipped to enter the employment world or to continue study of language and literature at postgraduate level.

The objective of the Integrated BBA (Hons.)+ MBA, 5 year Degree programme is to enable students to embark upon a management career after completing 10+2 level examination. The programme provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the fundamentals of business management and the opportunity to pursue chosen areas of specialization.

The design and delivery of this integrated program is innovative and unique. It will equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to compete successfully for challenging positions in industry, government, non-profit organizations and civil services. This programme will create excellent managers and also instill the spirit of entrepreneurship so that the students evolve into leaders and wealth creators in the years to come.

The Integrated BBA (Hons.)+ MBA programme at JGBS being one of the most rigorous in the country is designed to prepare students with a global management perspective through a unique pedagogy of learning and interaction among peers in a modular format. Activities like live projects, field assignments and simulation games will form an integral part of the programme.

Field work such as the India Dream Project, Business Internship and Team-Consulting Assignment will help achieve holistic learning and also provide for a comprehensive understanding of the contemporary business environment. Option for a Post Graduate Degree Abroad: In the fifth year, students have the option to enroll for 1-year MS Degree with a partner foreign university subject to the terms and conditions of the host university.

The aim of the 4-year Bachelor of Fine Arts (Hons.) programme is to educate visual thinkers, who can critically address this new imagery landscape and the social challenges that it yields. While ensuring the mastery of our students over traditional skills of craftsmanship and image-making, they will be encouraged to approach art with conceptual and theoretical tools.

Business Analytics deals with the study, analysis and interpretation of all data about businesses. The curriculum, focusing exclusively on Analytics, is uniquely designed for the young minds who need to acquire the combination of skill sets of Business Management and Information Technology. The specialized programme is meant for those people who are interested to solve business problems in a data driven manner. Hence, the curriculum covers Information Technology (IT), Statistical Methods as well as all business aspects in detail.

The three-year fully residential BBA (Hons.)- Business Analytics degree program at Jindal Global Business School (JGBS) is designed to give theoretical and practical knowledge for the students keen to pursue careers that leverage Analytics strengths in a variety of functions and industries. Data Analytics as a domain is transforming the way businesses and organizations work and grow across all industries, including, retail, manufacturing, banking & finance, healthcare, and sports. Data Analytics is helping organizations make better decisions, respond quickly, prevent downtime, mitigate risk, and improve overall performance.

Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) is now offering the 3 years Bachelor of Arts in Gender Studies (B.A. (Hons.) in Gender Studies) programme. The programme is designed in keeping with the latest University Grants Commission prescriptions and aims at fostering a culture of scholarship and academic excellence amongst the students. Gender Studies as a discipline has gained immense prominence in contemporary times. The systematic inquiries of Gender Studies help understand the many social and historical contexts in the interplay of genders, gender inequalities and fight for equality, impact and relevance of social movements on gender, gender practices in various forms of societies, and the role of gender in social and cultural production. The intellectual diversity, rigor, and discourse of Gender Studies, while providing an epistemological consciousness and sprit of inquiry among students, sensitize them about gender issues in society which further help in engendering respect for gender equality and gender identities.

Jindal School of Liberal Arts and Humanities is India’s first transnational humanities school. It’s B.A. Hons. Liberal Arts and Humanities programme adopts an innovative pedagogy and focuses on a strong interdisciplinary foundation in arts, social sciences and humanities subjects, with specialisations in specific areas.

The study of liberal arts inspires the development of the whole person through rigorous reading and writing, along with active experiential learning inside and outside the classroom, in an atmosphere of academic and intellectual freedom, a close faculty-student engagement, and small classes. B.A. Liberal Arts students graduate with the knowledge, flexible range of skills, aptitudes, and a life-long curiosity and love of learning. They will be prepared for a world of possibilities to explore future opportunities in the field of arts and humanities.

Over the first two years of the Bachelor of Arts degree, students train in the foundational aspects of the liberal arts through core courses in humanities and social sciences. They also study electives at JSLH and across the 12 different schools at JGU. To get first hand industry experience, liberal arts students also undertake one-month internships between every semester. In the final year of the programme they choose a major – one subject – as an area for concentrated study and also write a thesis. The thesis is a detailed work of substantial length and depth over a subject specialism chosen from the liberal arts courses covered during the programme.

The Bachelor of Design is a professional degree program for students who wish to work towards improving the inhabited spaces through experimental, experiential, and informed design processes. The program teaches students to imagine, propose, test and refine their ideas about how to live and dwell in the contemporary world and trains students in the knowledge systems that help anticipate changes in the future built environments (from domestic to urban scale). The program uniquely places student-centred inquiry as the core learning, through a sequential studio sequence culminating in a customized capstone design project. These courses are taught by internationally-trained design professors. The professional practice courses include new forms of social and technical knowledge: diversity, sustainability, digital representations and professional ethics. Other features of the program comprise diverse, customizable electives, a flexible system of minors in multiple subjects taught across schools within the university. This is a program for students with ambition, imagination and curiosity who wish to imagine and lead the design of a better world, and wishes to become knowledgeable and influential future design professions.

At present, the B. Des. Program offers Interior Design, Community & Urban Development after a common foundation year.

The Community & Urban Development pathway is designed to give you tools to engage with cities and with communities, as objects, as people, as metaphor, as relationships, as networks, and as organisms. This pathway empowers you to enhance your experience of cities and lives of communities by regulating land use and infrastructure, designing sustainable waste management or developing finance packages for cities and communities. You ensure that all members of the community are involved and represented in the decision-making processes. You work intimately to create political, social and economic opportunities for cities and communities across the globe. 

The pathway provides students with a variety of perspectives by drawing its faculty from a wide spectrum of academic and operational expertise, ranging from history, sociology, engineering, architecture, law, arts, geography, economics, anthropology among others.

In the year 2021, we face an increasing array of environmental challenges that require greater levels of innovation and collaboration among industry, government, academics and communities. Jindal School of Environment and Sustainability (JSES) hopes to support the global efforts (India/Asia/Global South) toward a sustainable future with cutting-edge teaching, research and practice-based engagement. Through national and international collaborations, JSES will promote interdisciplinary studies, joint teaching and research programmes, and a comparative perspective on environment and sustainability issues. JSES has now opened admissions to the B.A./B.Sc. (Hons.) in Sustainable Development programme for the academic year 2022-23.

The B.A./B.Sc. (Hons.) in Sustainable Development uniquely combines natural and social sciences with humanities to equip students with a thorough understanding of sustainable development and its many facets. The programme is distinguishable from the B.A. in Environmental Studies based on its specific focus on the Sustainable Development Goals and its emphasis on scientific knowledge.
