Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) offers the 3-year Bachelor of Laws LL.B (Hons.) Programme since its year of inception in 2009. The Programme is designed in keeping with the latest Bar Council of India rules and the University Grants Commission prescriptions and aims at fostering a culture of scholarship and academic excellence amongst the students.

The Bachelor of Design is a professional degree program for students who wish to work towards improving the inhabited spaces through experimental, experiential, and informed design processes. The program teaches students to imagine, propose, test and refine their ideas about how to live and dwell in the contemporary world and trains students in the knowledge systems that help anticipate changes in the future built environments (from domestic to urban scale). The program uniquely places student-centred inquiry as the core learning, through a sequential studio sequence culminating in a customized capstone design project. These courses are taught by internationally-trained design professors. The professional practice courses include new forms of social and technical knowledge: diversity, sustainability, digital representations and professional ethics. Other features of the program comprise diverse, customizable electives, a flexible system of minors in multiple subjects taught across schools within the university. This is a program for students with ambition, imagination and curiosity who wish to imagine and lead the design of a better world, and wishes to become knowledgeable and influential future design professions.

At present, the B. Des. Program offers Interior Design, Community & Urban Development after a common foundation year.

Community & Urban Development:

The Community & Urban Development pathway is designed to give you tools to engage with cities and with communities, as objects, as people, as metaphor, as relationships, as networks, and as organisms. This pathway empowers you to enhance your experience of cities and lives of communities by regulating land use and infrastructure, designing sustainable waste management or developing finance packages for cities and communities. You ensure that all members of the community are involved and represented in the decision-making processes. You work intimately to create political, social and economic opportunities for cities and communities across the globe. 

The pathway provides students with a variety of perspectives by drawing its faculty from a wide spectrum of academic and operational expertise, ranging from history, sociology, engineering, architecture, law, arts, geography, economics, anthropology among others. 

The Community & Urban Development pathway provides you with essential and fundamental skills to work within the development sector, economic and social systems, building industry, infrastructure and planning, including but not limited to:

Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) offers the 5-year integrated Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Laws (BBA LL.B. (Hons.)) Programme since 2013. The Programme is designed in keeping with the latest Bar Council of India rules and the University Grants Commission prescriptions and aims at fostering a culture of scholarship and academic excellence amongst the students.

The BBA LL.B. (Hons.) course provides a holistic understanding of the legal discipline through a combination of business, management, and law. This multidisciplinary approach equips the students to apply the law to the facts.

• The students study foundational courses and get an opportunity to explore their interests via elective courses and independent research projects.
• They can explore various career options through internships like in the corporate sector, law firms, small business houses, start-ups, advisory and legal consultancy, under CAs, CSs, CFAs firms, contract law related opportunities, international law firms and international organisations.
• The internships and law school curriculum gives them a broader understanding of the legal system and allows them to envisage diverse career paths (including higher studies). This enables them to be better prepared to enter the legal profession.
• At the end of the programme, the students of BBA LL.B. will learn how to communicate in a legal setup, interpret and apply laws, explore niche options in the legal industry, specialise in legal subjects of their interest and succeed in legal employment.

The programme is designed in keeping with the latest University Grants Commission prescriptions and aims at fostering a culture of scholarship and academic excellence amongst the students. Gender Studies as a discipline has gained immense prominence in contemporary times. The systematic inquiries of Gender Studies help understand the many social and historical contexts in the interplay of genders, gender inequalities and fight for equality, impact and relevance of social movements on gender, gender practices in various forms of societies, and the role of gender in social and cultural production. The intellectual diversity, rigor, and discourse of Gender Studies, while providing an epistemological consciousness and sprit of inquiry among students, sensitize them about gender issues in society which further help in engendering respect for gender equality and gender identities.

The B.A. Economics (Honours) degree at the Jindal School of Government and Public Policy (JSGP) aims to provide theoretical and practical knowledge that makes accurate analysis of the economic situation possible.

B.A. Economics graduates from JSGP must be able to understand the interrelation between the economy and society: to consider economic problems from a global perspective and take a local approach to solve them; to make connections between an economic system’s different components; to gauge the implications of decisions related to economic policy; and to respond to the economic problems arising from society in general and the different units that interact therein (e.g. institutions, private companies and sectors of the economy).

Since its recognition as a right through Magna Carta, human rights have found a cardinal place in societies, irrespective of the nature of society or the form of government. The pan human perspective of human rights helped all members of society-irrespective of their class, creed, community, gender, and nationality-to become bearers of the rights. With the evolution of society from medieval monarchies to more advanced forms of social governance in modernity, human rights have become broader and inclusive. Our globalizing society has witnessed the rise of human rights as a profession, mainly under the aegis of the United Nations (UN) through various general and particular programmes of aid and assistance. These programmes percolated to the national, regional, and local levels through many sub-national human rights initiatives and activities. The activities spanned over areas, e.g., community services, charity, awareness building, investigation, research, policy-making, legal advice, and cause lawyering.

The Bachelors of Architecture Program at the Jindal School of Art and Architecture (JSAA) is a five-year program in architecture which prepares you for a career as a licensed architect in India. The unique program at JSAA is divided into two parts; the Major and the Minor. In the Major you learn about material and making, about design thinking. You explore the social, historical, political, economic and technological interfaces of architecture. The major allows you to participate in exchange studios and collaborative works with students from some of the best schools in architecture such as AAP (Cornell), DAAP (University of Cincinnati), Bartlett (University College of London). The program places you in multiple internships at leading firms where you gain work experience, learn from and interact with the best architects in India and the world.

In addition to the Major, the program at the JSAA also allows you to choose one minor area of study.
