The program has been designed in way to develop graduates with key practical skills and interdisciplinary knowledge essential for tomorrow’s leaders. The program also provides necessary skills in written communication, problem-solving, interpersonal understanding and critical thinking.

The course provides the acquisition and refinement of motor skills. It equips the students with the scientific knowledge of body response to various types of exercise.

Maintenance of fitness for optimal health and well-being is enhanced. Attainment of knowledge and the growth of positive attitude towards physical activity and sports is developed through the course. 

The program is of two years in length (4 semesters), meant for candidates desiring to pursue post-graduate programme in education. Besides preparing teacher educators, the program also aims to prepare educational administrators, supervisors and researchers. The M.Ed. programme comprises of theoretical courses including specialized courses in disciplines of education and related practical/field work including exposure to and training in a teacher education institution. In addition, research work in the form of a dissertation forms an essential part of the programme. The program also provides opportunities for students to extend and deepen their knowledge and understanding of education by specializing in selected areas including Teacher Education and concurrently acquire research related skills.

The programme develops an ability to understand economic theories and functioning of basic microeconomic and macroeconomic systems. It acquaints the students with Statistical and Mathematical Skills. The students got familiarise with basic and applied econometric tools and methods used in economics. The aim of this course is to provide a foundation in applied econometric analysis and develop skills required for empirical research in economics.

Geotechnical Engineering  uses soil mechanics and rock mechanics for investigating underground conditions and materials, determine the physical, mechanical and chemical properties of such materials to assess the strength of available natural slopes and the man-made deposit for assessing the risks posed by site conditions. This in turn is useful for designing earthworks and structure. Foundations and monitoring of environmental conditions, land use and foundation construction.

M.Tech in Geotechnical Engineering prepares a student to apply mathematical as well as scientific principles in the process of construction, development, and evaluation of systems and underground components, including land and rock, movement and stabilization, dumping sites. , structural use, and the environmental sustainability of waste and by-products, underground construction, and groundwater content and hazardous substances.
