B. Pharmacy is a four-year undergraduate professional program spread across eight semesters which deals with the study of medicines. The core subjects of the program include pharmaceutical chemistry (chemistry of medicinal compounds), pharmaceutics (manufacturing of dosage forms such as tablets, capsules etc.), pharmacology (action of drugs on the body and action of body on the drugs) and pharmacognosy (medicinal drugs obtained from plants and other natural sources). Students interested in either producing or editing podcasts, learning storytelling for the audio medium or understanding post-production process for an audio product are fit for this course. The broad themes explored in this course include: Digital Audio Storyboarding, Sound Design & Mixing, Audio & Podcast Production, Post Production, Distribution & Monetisation.

UPES School of Design’s Under Graduate Programme, B.Des. in Graphic & Communication Design prepares students for image design, typography, layout design, branding, design history, research methods, web-based design, digital design, photography, and graphics technology. With growing focus on sustainable design technology, the curriculum imparts knowledge of design and sustainable fundamentals, as well as an understanding of core values, emerging trends and discipline challenges.

This course deals with the inter-combination of statistics and computer science with an aim to extract patterns of information from given raw data (unprocessed data) and transform the data to provide meaningful information for business use. It covers the concepts of machine learning used as data mining techniques and touches upon the differences between data science and data mining. Students will be able to use the different data mining techniques such as association, clustering, and use different data mining applications such as market basket analysis and customer relationship management.

Digital Studio Management & Live Production is a vital component of the digital media industry. This course will equip students to produce in - studio video content, live productions, floor management & broadcasting. This will introduce students on how to use cutting edge technology & equipment to produce and manage live content for media houses, corporations & startups. This will include studio videography, vision mixing, live graphics, camera operations, direction and overall production.

B.Sc (H) Physics, with specialization in Astronomy and Astrophysics and Computational Physics would be a full time 3-year undergraduate program in Physics. This program is designed for students who not only want to build a sound base in Physics, but also wish to study Astronomy and Astrophysics/Computational Physics. Thus, the students in this program would not only study the conventional modules in Physics at undergraduate level, but would also study modules on Astronomy and Astrophysics/Computational Physics.

B.Sc. Geology Hons. program provides specialization in Geoinformatics

Geoinformatics is the science and the technology, which develops and applies information science infrastructure to solve geoscience and engineering related problems. It deals with the structure and character of spatial information, its capture, classification and qualification, storage, processing, description and propagation, including the infrastructure required for optimal use of this information. Earth science increasingly relies on digital spatial data acquired from remotely sensed images analyzed by GIS photograph interpretation, and web mining.  Geoinformatics combines geospatial analysis and modeling, development of geospatial databases, information systems design, human-computer interaction and both wired and wireless networking technologies. Geoinformatics is analyzed using geo-computation and geo-visualization for fields such as urban planning and land use management.

Pharmaceutical Biotechnology can be defined as that branch of study which applies principles of biotechnology in development of therapeutics. This is one of the fastest growing areas in the pharma sector. Development of diagnostics as a point of care using pharmaceutical Biotechnology is widespread in todays’ world. Common biopharmaceutical products include proteins, antibodies, aptamers, recombinant DNA products, gene therapy, engineered enzyme, etc.  Pharmaceutical biotechnology companies develop tailor-made medicine for maximum therapeutic effects. A majority of therapeutic drugs in the current market are pharmaceutical application biotechnology principles such as antibodies, nucleic acid products and vaccines.
