The specialised law course, in its five-years duration, equips the students with the knowledge of both commerce and legislative regulations as a comprehensive concept.

This course has been designed to examine the interactions between food production and consumption, health, and environment through environmental and food justice lenses. Building on concepts developed in food systems, it explores topics such as public health disparities and their structural causes, environmental toxins in the food system and their impact on workers and consumers, as well as policies that have or could affect these outcomes, in both historical and contemporary contexts.

Apart from conceptual discussion and debates, the program also includes field trips and/or guest lectures to give practical experience to the learners.

This specialisation covers computer science fundamentals such as data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, android development, Linux administration, database management systems and also provides students with insights into the world of open-source and open standards along with exposure to open-source communities and open-source development methodology.

The course includes specialized subjects such as IT Applications and Open Standards, Dynamic Paradigm in Open Source and Open Standards, Marketing and Services in OSS, Open Source Mobile platform and OSS Development Methodology that provide hands-on capabilities on various aspects of this highly specialized domain.

The M.Tech. Program in Energy Systems and Sustainability provides scope for engineering innovators / entrepreneurs with a mission to develop sustainable energy systems and solutions for the future. The Specialization Sustainable Development explores systems that protect the environment while increasing socio economic growth.

This course provides an overview and introduction to financial economic analysis covering markets, institutions, structures, and instruments. Some of the basic models used to benchmark valuation of assets and derivatives are studied in detail. These include the Capital Asset Pricing Model and the Binomial Option Pricing model. The course ends with a brief introduction to corporate finance.

UPES School of Design’s Postgraduate Programme in Interaction Design trains students to research, analyze, prototype, and design concepts in business, social, and cultural contexts within existing and emerging technologies.
