Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Legislative Law (BBA + LLB) is a five-year integrated dual degree course which provides an integrated study of management studies and legislative law in an entirely independent manner.

Forensic science is a highly advanced research method used in criminal and civil investigations to address critical questions. An integral part of the criminal justice system, it includes techniques such as the analysis of fingerprints, DNA analysis, and ballistics and explosives.

This course has been designed keeping in mind the close interrelation between law and forensic science to make students well-versed with the fundamental and advanced concepts of forensic science and its application in legal jurisprudence.

Integrated (B.Des) - (M.Des) - (Interaction Design) in Interaction Design trains students to research, analyze, prototype, and design concepts in business, social, and cultural contexts within existing and emerging technologies. Students will gain proficiency in creating engaging user interfaces, ranging from 2D screen (UI for web and mobile) to 3D (AR/VR and will be able to conceptualize user experiences around new and emerging technology, and design to make interfaces more usable, useful and pleasant.

The M.Tech. Program in Energy Systems and Sustainability provides scope for engineering innovators / entrepreneurs with a mission to develop sustainable energy systems and solutions for the future. This requires specialised production skills which are in high demand.  This degree program equips students with sound technical skills to create digital video and audio content. Students are trained on the latest technology tools to produce, distribute and monetise media properties across digital multimedia industries.

Students are trained as digital broadcasting storytellers & producers. They are provided hands-on experience in the fields of Mobile Journalism, Audio/Video Production, Content Creation, Podcasting, Production, Direction and Live Broadcasting. The Digital Video Production and Monetisation, specialisation introduces students to MoJo (Mobile Journalism). It is designed to teach you the skills to make impactful video content for  media houses, marketing campaigns and social media channels. Students will learn how to shoot, edit and produce video content with Mobile Phones. They will learn hands - on working on live projects in workshop mode to create digital multimedia content. They will be introduced to the basics of narrative structure and visual language, and a comprehensive overview of video production.They will also be introduced to distribution and monetisation strategies across digital platforms like YouTube, Facebook & Instagram amongst others.

Smart materials are materials that can respond to external stimuli such as stress, moisture, electric/magnetic field, temperature and pH. They are at the core of sensors used in smart electronics and comprise a huge variety of materials including piezoelectric, shape-memory, photovoltaic, thermoelectric, ferrofluids and self-healing materials. A student opting for this specialisation will be exposed to the properties, synthesis and application of these materials, and will be able to explore one of these material systems in-depth through the dedicated project work.

Food Biotechnology is a branch of food science in which modern biotechnological techniques are applied. It covers topics ranging from molecular biology to industrial applications of food biotechnology for the improvement of food and food products. It prepares students for careers in the dynamic food sector as well as for research and development.

Biosimilar is that branch of study which deals with study of drugs that are very similar to original product, but not identical. They are not generic drugs and do not possess the same active pharmaceutical ingredient, yet comparable to original reference drug in terms of quality, safety and efficacy. Biosimilar are alternative potential therapeutics but not generics. For biosimilar products, the manufacturing process requires a high level of monitoring and testing.  

At UPES, B.Tech. Biotechnology students with a specialization in Biosimilar will be made familiar with existing regulations, manufacturing sciences and distribution practices of Biosimilar products in India and all across the globe. Students will learn about controversies associated with Generic drugs and need for development of Biosimilar products. Students will also learn how a drug is discovered in a lab, followed by testing in clinical trials and then launched in market for commercialization.

Consequently, when it comes to entering international contracts, there can be disputes. Hence, CISG (Convention on Contracts for International Sale of Goods), commonly known as Vienna Convention, was promulgated by the United Nations so that there is a common law for global businesses. Anybody who intends to enter international business must be aware of International Business Law to succeed.
