The Integrated B.Tech Food Technology-M.B.A program helps students save one year, as it is a 5-year program in which students get both B.Tech Food Technology Degree as well as MBA degree and it is as per UGC Norms. In this integrated program, the management of food processing, storage, transportation, distribution, marketing, sale, profit and loss calculations are imparted.

This specialization lays a solid foundation in all areas of food biotechnology and provides a comprehensive review of the biological and chemical concepts that are important in each discipline. Food Biotechnology is a branch of food science in which modern biotechnological techniques are applied. It covers topics ranging from molecular biology to industrial applications of food biotechnology for the improvement of food and food products. It prepares students for careers in the dynamic food sector as well as for research and development.

This integrated specialization further offers students a chance to choose between two MBA specializations: 

• Product Management
• Marketing

This integrated program is focused on innovative research training in the field of microbiology to pursue a career in industry, academic or government research laboratories. The program offers specialization in Food Microbiology, Biochemical processes and Analysis besides minors in diverse areas such as Engineering, Computer Science, Management, Law, Design and Media.

UPES provides unique and focused Integrated M.Sc-PhD course aiming to deliver expertise in theoretical and experimental understanding of Mathematics and its allied disciplines. The program is designed such that after completing it, students would be able to excel in academia, industries, and research. The faculty members in the department have diverse research expertise including but not limited to Reliability analysis and optimization, numerical analysis, fluid dynamics, differential geometry, image processing and data analysis, dynamical system and mathematical modelling, etc., which would provide students flexibility in opting for their PhD topic. The curriculum is designed to give exposure not only about the subject but also research ethics, communication and skill augmentation. This course explores in detail the types of rules, policies, and controls put in place to determine the behaviour of a corporation, and the intended outcome of those measures. Taking a practical look at how to identify, set, and uphold a corporate governance means that the students will be able to enrich their understanding and skillset in this area, with the support of experienced practitioners who can demonstrate real-life examples to contextualize what one learns.

Applied Mathematics focuses on the innovative creation and imaginative use of mathematical concepts to present and solve problems over the various field of natural sciences, engineering sciences, medical sciences and emerging fields such as data sciences and artificial intelligence. The program is designed to provide students an increased knowledge and comprehensive understanding of mathematics, particularly in algorithms, fluid mechanics, differential equations, probability and stochastics, and optimisation. 

The full term of two years and the syllabus for the program is divided into four semesters. This Master’s program is also an ideal preparation for various PhD programs in basic sciences and engineering.  

PhD General Management is the highest academic degree awarded in the study of General Management.

B.Sc. in industrial chemistry offered at UPES is a three-year undergraduate course. This course is one of the sought after course due to its immense scope and ever rising popularity in the job sector. The course provides extensive knowledge on the development, optimization, monitoring of various chemical processes that are widely used in industry to convert raw materials into useful products for society. Integrated (B.Des) - (M.Des) in Graphics Design prepares students to become proficient and compelling visual storytellers with a focus on the evolving industry and technology. Students are exposed to image design, typography, layout design, branding, design history, research methods, web-based design, digital design, photography, and graphics technology.
