Masters in Microbiology is a two year course that offers two specialization streams namely Food and Environmental Microbiology and Medical and Pharmaceutical Microbiology.

Medical Microbiology comprises and integrates the fields of immunology, bacteriology, virology, mycology, and parasitology. The common bond between them is the focus on the causes of infectious diseases and on the reactions of the host to the pathogens. The objective of specialized course of medical microbiology is to provide in-depth knowledge of the etiologic organisms causing diseased and the pathogenic mechanisms leading to clinically manifest infections into its host. This knowledge is a necessary prerequisite for the diagnosis, therapy, and prevention of any infectious diseases, indispensable for both biotech, pharma industries and academic sectors.

As pharmaceutical microbiology is crucial to the manufacture and production of drugs, biologics and devices, it is absolutely important that people working in these industries have a strong understanding and in-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical microbiological principles, techniques, processes and strategies in order to avoid any potentially costly and life-threatening failures and consequences.

In this program, a student learns about the basics food preservation and conservation. In this particular specialization, the Design of food process plant, Food plant location, Food plant layout, requirements like water supply, Electricity supply, clean environment and location, Contraction material used, Waste management, cleaning and sanitisation are main course content. The equipment used during food processing, packaging requirement, utensils, standards related to material used in construction of food processing equipment’s, standardisation of food process, arrangements of equipment’s in best possible way.  The food processing Industry visit carried out for practical knowledge.  Food Industry Trainings are also carried out. Scope and importance of food plant engineering, Processing methods and their requirements, Preservation by drying, Preservation by low temperature, heat treatments, and Food conversion operation. In this a student learns about various techniques and procedures involved in food packaging. This subject helps a student to understand the importance of processing of various kinds of food products. This course covers both practical and theoretical aspects of food industry.

This course explores in detail the types of rules, policies, and controls put in place to determine the behaviour of a corporation, and the intended outcome of those measures. Taking a practical look at how to identify, set, and uphold a corporate governance means that the students will be able to enrich their understanding and skillset in this area, with the support of experienced practitioners who can demonstrate real-life examples to contextualize what one learns.

Master of Technology in Chemical Engineering with Specialization In Process Design Engineering is an industry-oriented program training the students in chemical process development and designing. The students as part of the curriculum go for one year of Industrial project where they receive immense industrial experience. We also have a MoU with Grasim Industries - Aditya Birla Ltd., for the M. Tech Industrial project/ internship program.

This program prepares students to enter the filed of judiciary and law. Skills such as persuasive communication, judgment, as well as a problem-solving mindset are inculcated in the students. The course provides an overview of the set of rules and regulations, which govern the society. Apart from conceptual discussion and debates, the program also includes guest lectures to give practical experience to the learners. *Graduate student from any stream is eligible and can apply for this programme  

Bachelors in Food, Nutrition, and Dietetics focusses on diverse aspects of research on nutritional science The program involves the study of food management and the importance of a healthy life.

The Lifestyle Accessory Design program builds competency in you to take on challenges of a rapidly developing industry, markets of neo-luxury products and consumers who aspire for ever-changing lifestyle. The program is structured to inculcate various aspects of design as a value addition tool and the way design operates at various levels such as aesthetics, markets, management, strategic as well as technology.

In this specialisation, students learn about essential concepts such as data structures, algorithms, OOPS concepts using Java, databases, software engineering and design processes. Students will also obtain an in-depth knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence by implementing real-world problems in a wide variety of application domains such as robotics, computer vision, natural language processing, etc. Students will be experienced in machine learning pipeline, data, models, algorithms and empirics.

Students pursuing Banking, Financial Services and Insurance will learn about essential computer science concepts such as algorithm, data structures, OOPS concepts with java and advanced Java, with databases and software engineering design processes. This core competency is catered to students and concepts of Data Science and Informatics are translated along with core competencies at appropriate positions.
