UPES School of Design’s Postgraduate Programme in Interaction Design trains students to research, analyze, prototype, and design concepts in business, social, and cultural contexts within existing and emerging technologies. Tech. in Renewable Energy Engineering provides the in-depth knowledge of various domains of Renewable Energy Sources like Solar, Wind, Hydro, Biofuel, Hydrogen etc. This program is equipped with advance tools and lab setup equipped with advance testing kits and provision of engaging the students in real time field visits to perform the feasibility study of various Renewable Energy Systems.

This program offers the blend of placement opportunities in various verticals of Renewable Energy Engineering to work as an Energy Specialist, Energy Consultant, Project Manager, Lead Energy Auditor (ISO-50001 global level), Renewable Energy Products Manager, RE project developer etc.

Learners will have the opportunity to gain the knowledge in Renewable Energy Technology, Solar PV and Solar Thermal Systems, Wind Energy Systems, Biomass Conversion Technology, Green Buildings, Project and Financial Management, Smart Grid etc. Students has the opportunity to work in funded research projects and consultancy projects from Government and other funding agencies with wide opportunity to go for higher studies.

The Smart Grid specialization focuses on efficient use of energy and precise control along with digitalization.

This program offers basic technologies of Virtualization (enabler of Cloud), infrastructure less computing at client side by IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service)-by Vmware, Virtual Box, Openstack etc., PaaS (Platform as a service), having platforms for development environments, SaaS(Software as a Service), deploying software on cloud enabled infrastructure, performance tuning of deployed objects-checking efficiency and security in Cloud.

M.Tech by Research facilitates industry fellows and upcoming research scholars with specific knowledge of the problem to be investigated in a way to draft novel and efficient solutions that have both scientific and industrial viability. This program aims at strengthening the students' core knowledge and greater potential to contribute to core research in the field of science and technology.

UPES School of Design’s Under Graduate Programme, B.Des. in Fashion Design introduces students to a combination of traditional craft techniques with digital technologies to transform concepts from two-dimensional fabrics into three-dimensional forms. The programme covers all aspects of the design process, from trend analysis, research and design development, drawing and illustration, colour and fabric development, historical and cultural studies, translation of ideas from 2D to 3D through to presentation, marketing and business development.

Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Legislative Law (BBA + LLB) is a five-year integrated dual degree course which provides an integrated study of management studies and legislative law in an entirely independent manner.

The specialisation educates students in regulating and resolving disputes relating to both individual labour laws i.e. the employees’ rights at work and the employment standards as well as the tripartite labour laws i.e. the relationship between the employer, employee, and the union. UPES provides students with an opportunity to complete two seminar papers and a dissertation exclusively in labour laws under the mentorship of the faculty and an industry-based professional.
