B. Tech. Chemical Engineering Spl in Refining and Petrochemicals is a specialization running since 2010 and has been accredited by NBA in 2019. This program enables students to have in-depth knowledge regarding the oil, gas, chemical, and the petrochemical sector, with major future prospects in industries like Exxon Mobil, Halliburton, Shell, Reliance, Phillips Carbon Black Ltd., Dr. Reddy’s Lab, etc. The program deals with courses like Petroleum refining technology, Petrochemical process technology, Catalyst design and catalysis, Chemical Industry 4.0 etc. which prepares the student to be ready for any oil and gas industry. We have our student alumni with this degree doing extremely well in both PSUs like Indian Oil Corporation Limited and also private sector like Exxon Mobil, Halliburton, Shell, Reliance etc.

Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Legislative Law (BBA + LLB) is a five-year integrated dual degree course which provides an integrated study of management studies and legislative law in an entirely independent manner.

This is a five-year program that offers domain-specific subjects ranging from Making of the Indian Constitution, Jurisprudential Approach to Constitution to Comparative Federalism, and Legislative Relations. Drawing heavily from the rulings made in the Supreme Court, it is designed to preserve the relationships between state and federal governments and protect the rights of the individual. Furthermore, it enables the students to become better citizens by sensitising them about concepts that are the basis of a civilised society.

UPES School of Design’s Under Graduate Programme, B.Des. in Interior & Retail Space Design imparts in-depth knowledge and professional training in both residential and commercial interior design projects. The curriculum includes modules on space planning, furniture, creative lighting, interiors, design management, art and craft, materials, building technology, the art of show home design, sustainable design and much more. The programme also lays emphasis on retail branding, visual communication and merchandising with a focus on customer experience.

This program provides students with an understanding of international trade negotiations and their relevance in the global business environment. The course equips them with the latest developments taking place in the area of foreign trade, and the ability to apply that knowledge in practical situations.

PhD in Chemistry is the highest academic degree awarded in the study of Chemistry.

Students in this specialisation learn the essential computer science concepts such as data structures, algorithms, OOPS concepts using Java, databases and software engineering and design processes, but also concepts such as Big Data related concepts such as functional programming using python, distributed computing, data ingestion tools, NoSQL database, and other technologies to build big data pipeline.

The specialization prepares the students on subjects including Service Operations and Total Quality Management. The emphasis is on developing critical as well as analytical thinking in the specialized area though case study, projects, workshops, masterclasses by industry experts, among other pedagogical tools.

In this vastly digitized world of cyber, Security is a vital aspect. Also, the internet has made our systems vulnerable to numerous cyber-attacks. Apart from essential concepts such as data structures, algorithms, OOPS concepts using Java and python, databases, software engineering and design processes, through this specialization one will learn the intricacies of cyber focussing on security, crimes or attacks. Students will learn to apply forensic investigation and analysis tools with rightful relevance to law practices and procedures. Cyber Security professionals are hugely demanded in all areas allied to Cyber/IT.

M.Sc. (Physics) specialization in Material Science is a two-year program which aims to equip students both with the advanced concepts in Physics as well as hands on training in synthesis and characterization of novel materials, finding applications in myriad domains including but not limited to health, sanitation, defense, clean energy harvesting (solar cells, fuel cells, hydrogen storage, etc.), aerospace, semiconductors industry, etc. Students will also get an opportunity to learn Computational Materials Science, in which they will be equipped with various simulation software/techniques and advanced numerical algorithms to simulate materials via computers.
