B.A.LL.B. offers students the opportunity to enter the field of legal education at a very early stage of their academic career. It is the integrated programme of law where students get the opportunity to simultaneously study law and humanities. Environmental Engineering encompasses ecology, geology, chemistry, biology, hydrology, microbiology and considered to be a vast field. It’s major emphasis is on protection of all living organism, their health and environment. It is a discipline related to Civil Engineering as well as Chemistry or Chemical Engineering. Environmental engineers are involved in the field of water and waste management, and involved in the major challenges like global warming, acid rain, ozone depletion, and water and air pollution. That requires a specialized training in the field and owing to this Uttaranchal University offers a post graduate program in the field of Environment Engineering.

Program curriculum has been designed to fulfil the growing demand for individuals who can respond to the advanced knowledge needs of industry, research organisations, and academics. It is focused on research and development, as well as exposure to and experience working with cutting-edge technology. The Faculty of Applied & Life Sciences provides a two-year Postgraduate degree programme in Industrial Chemistry, which prepares students to become critical human resources for the nation’s overall economic growth.

The programme follows a curriculum that is unique and is aligned with industry requirements, ensuring that students continue to get the greatest level of industrial relevance. To ensure that students get the most beneficial practical industry experience possible, the Faculty of Applied Sciences is equipped with cutting-edge research and experimental facilities. Laboratory and practical exercises are conducted under the supervision of top-notch faculty members giving students real-world experiences. This programme emphasizes the critical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities required for a scientific profession.

B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering is a 4 years full time undergraduate  programme which gives the detailed idea and understanding of the Communication architecture and applications in various fields. This programme integrates topics from basic sciences to technology with applicable practice in labs and projects to help students to develop problem-solving abilities while meeting industry standards. Electronic Devices & Circuits, Signal & Systems, Communication Systems, Antenna & Microwave, VLSI Technology & Design, System & Signal Processing, Embedded Systems are just few of the areas where students will gain expertise. Apart from the curriculum, the teaching pedagogical activities include industrial visits, hand on projects, seminars, practice on various simulation tool, workshops on new technologies, and guest lecturers.

B.Sc. (Hons.) Biotechnology is a 3-year program with an enriched curriculum comprising of basic courses (cell biology, biochemistry, animal and plant physiology, developmental biology) and applied courses (plant and animal biotechnology, bioinformatics, bioprocess technology and others). Specific courses target skill development, employability and entrepreneurship potential of biotechnology.

Bachelor of Physiotherapy is a professional programme that deals with the science of physical movement and directing it to prevent disability of movement. Physiotherapy or physical therapy is a health profession that helps people maintain or restore their physical mobility, function, and strength. Under this programme electrotherapy, evidence-based kinesiology, exercise prescription, and shockwave mobility to treat chronic conditions of the bones and soft tissues are used. Physiotherapists work with patients and their families/caretakers to cure problems experienced as a result of illness, injury, and disability.

Students will learn a variety of client-centered responsive services, rehabilitation practises, and psychosocial, ethical, and legal issues pertaining to physiotherapy practice. This programme demands its aspirants to have sound clinical knowledge and the scientific sense behind all the clinical modes performed for the clients. This profession demands high patience with its clients and high levels of empathy towards their ailment and sufferings.

M.Sc. Physics is enriched with the core subjects, seminar, elective papers and dissertation.In this program, student gains knowledge about various topics associated with the concepts of Computer Science and Programming, Optoelectronics, Laser Physics, Nuclear Physics, Condensed matter Physics, Materials Science and Nanotechnology.

B.Sc. (Hons.) Biotechnology with Research (4 Year Programme) will specifically focus on imparting research skills. The program will also accomplish exposure to industrial practices, protocols through training and workshop so as to identify skills required to pursue career in research industries. Students with simultaneously acquire research skills through experimental learning via designing and executing protocols, data analysis and interpretation, data presentation and scientific writing.

The B.Sc (Agri.) programme is an undergraduate programme related to the field of agriculture. The focus of this study is on agriculture. Under this programme, students are trained about the most modern methods used in fertilizers; plant biotechnology. The programme apart from training in scientific skills also trains in marketing skills of agriculture products. Under this study, the students are exposed to real life rural settings with the aim to develop a sense of awareness among the students so that they can understand the problems of farmers and rural people.

M.Sc. Biotechnology is a two year program spread into four semesters. The curriculum comprises of comprise core courses, open elective and discipline specific electives. Core courses provide conceptual knowledge and experimental learning pertaining to basic and applied field of biotechnology through different teaching learning methods. Open electives target skill enhancement and discipline elective courses are specifically designed to provide skills pertaining to application of biotechnological tools and techniques in various fields including industry, agriculture, environment, health and others. Industrial visits, participation in seminar/conference, training programs impart additional technical skills. A crucial component of fourth semester is dissertation; each student is allotted a supervisor to conduct research in the field of interest of the student. The objective of dissertation is to impart skill to design and develop protocols, conduct experiment, interpret data and comprehend scientific writing skills.
