Open electives target skill enhancement and discipline elective courses are specifically designed to provide skills pertaining to application of biotechnological tools and techniques in various fields including industry, agriculture, environment, health and others. Industrial visits, participation in seminar/conference, training programs impart additional technical skills. A crucial component of fourth semester is dissertation; each student is allotted a supervisor to conduct research in the field of interest of the student. The objective of dissertation is to impart skill to design and develop protocols, conduct experiment, interpret data and comprehend scientific writing skills.

BBA- Digital Marketing Program curriculum is designed by academia and industry experts with a strong professional and practical attitude. It uniquely interweaves theoretical, practical and experiential learning for the students through classroom sessions, laboratory trainings, & e-projects. B.Tech CSE with specialization in Data Science is a 4 years (or 8 semesters) undergraduate program that focuses on using various scientific methods and methodologies to extract important data from raw data. The curriculum provides students with the opportunity to study strategies and abilities, such as, data extraction, methodology analysis, and so on.

Data science is an important aspect of the IT business; it is used to manage datasets and extract useful information. Students at Uttaranchal University have numerous opportunities to develop skills in querying, mining, cleansing, inspecting, and analyzing databases.

B.Tech Civil Engineering is a 4 years (8 semesters) undergraduate program designed to create engineers who can work for the society for creating space to improve their living standard, create safe and secure environment from natural and manmade disasters. The teaching – learning pedagogy involves not only class room teaching but also experiential learning through practical in the lab, fields and interactions with experts, training in workshops, internships, live projects and field work. Students are taught variety of courses in the field of structural engineering, transportation engineering, water supply and waste water treatment, environment engineering, foundation engineering, surveying, estimation and costing etc. Apart from that students have exposure to software learning relevant to industry and it is ensured that students are industry ready after leaving the college life and easily adaptive to the new environment through skill development based courses.

B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering with specialization IoT is a 4 years (or 8 semesters) undergraduate program that is designed to impart sound theoretical and practical learning of networking and communication technologies. The knowledge is essential to develop heterogeneous applications in the field of the internet of things (IoT). The program includes the foundations of multiple predecessors of IoT, such as, WSN and M2M so that students can understand the significance of the IoT domain.
