BSc Nursing is a four-year undergraduate programme offered by Uttaranchal University to prepare students to assume responsibilities as competent nurses in providing promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative services. The programme enables the students to apply knowledge from physical, biological, and behavioural sciences in providing nursing care to individuals, families and communities. We offer broad based nursing education within an academic framework specifically directed to the development of critical thinking skills, competencies & standards required for practice of professional nursing and midwifery.

Nurses are the pillar of the healthcare sector and comprise two-thirds of the health workforce in India. A person who has completed D.Pharm. can be employed as a registered pharmacist in a community pharmacy (wholesale or retail-medical store/chemists & druggists) or hospital pharmacy. It is the minimum qualification to practice the pharmacy profession, therefore, it is mandatory that all dispensing of prescription medicines has to be done under the supervision of a pharmacist only.

The programme is a combination of modern and ancient English literature, consisting of three main areas of focus, i.e. Prose, Poetry, and Drama. The programme includes literature by not just England writers, but from all over the world. Cultural, political and historical contexts of English and linguistics are explored on an advanced level.

It prepares students for teaching and Creative English Writing. After Post-Graduate degree, a candidate can pursue Doctoral Degree or can appear in competitive examination for jobs in various government departments. MA English students also have scope to build their career in the field of journalism, Education, BPOs and KPOs, Publishing, Theatre, Media & Entertainment, Corporate, Writing, Advertising and Public Relations. B.Tech ECE with VLSI & Embedded system is a 4 year program offered at Uttaranchal University aims to provide the knowledge and skills in VLSI design methodology and embedded system. The curriculum covers algorithms, System Architecture Verification Techniques, Component requirement for Hardware Model, substantial Designs, and Synthesis & Simulation for VLSI system. The programme also covers thrust areas like Real Time application of VLSI & Embedded Systems, Advanced Microcontrollers, Advanced Embedded System Design, and System on Chip. Apart from the curriculum, the teaching pedagogical activities include industrial visits, seminars, practice on various simulation tools like, workshops on new technologies, and guest lecturers.

B.Tech Civil Engineering is a 4 years (8 semesters) undergraduate program designed to create engineers who can work for the society for creating space to improve their living standard, create safe and secure environment from natural and manmade disasters. The teaching – learning pedagogy involves not only class room teaching but also experiential learning through practical in the lab, fields and interactions with experts, training in workshops, internships, live projects and field work. Students are taught variety of courses in the field of structural engineering, transportation engineering, water supply and waste water treatment, environment engineering, foundation engineering, surveying, estimation and costing etc. Apart from that students have exposure to software learning relevant to industry and it is ensured that students are industry ready after leaving the college life and easily adaptive to the new environment through skill development based courses.

Geographical Information System (GIS) is an inter-disciplinary field that builds expertise in the application of geospatial technologies to the most important real-world concerns in the areas of the environment, earth sciences, social sciences, and economics. The field focuses on translating geospatial data into useful end-user information by using acquisition, processing, characterisation, analysis, and modelling to better understand geographic patterns, processes, and interactions at all scales, from macro to global.

Data analytics is used to analyse the raw data into knowledge so that it can provide insights to make better decisions.  The data moves through four stages: Ingest Prepare, Analysis, and Action. Data Analytics find applications across a range of areas, such as, decision making, planning for healthcare industry, market research, banking, etc. There is a huge demand for data analytics expert and in view of that Uttaranchal University offers BCA – Data Analytics, a three-year undergraduate program designed to fulfil the requirements of the IT industries.

The program BCA-Data analytics includes courses like Python Programming, R Programming, SAS, Data Science Tools, Computer Based Optimization Techniques, Machine Learning Theory, Big Data Analytics, Probability Statistics and Techniques, Data Warehouse and Data Mining.

The program B.Tech Civil Engineering with specialization in BIM is 4 years (or 8 semesters) undergraduate program to help students learning expertise in the field of building information modeling. Program will expose students to Building Information Modeling (BIM), a technology-assisted model-based project delivery approach that brings together different built environment disciplines.  BIM plays a crucial role in building documentation and students completing this course will have the skills required for jobs in BIM-related fields or to pursue BIM further in their post-graduation degree. In the labs, students will learn computer graphics, programming, 3D computer modeler, BIM software for controlling construction process, workflows and protocols.

Bachelor of Pharmacy degree mainly prepares the candidates to work in the pharmaceutical industry, regulatory body, clinical research etc. The programme structure of the degree includes practical training in the pharmaceutical industry environment.
