The course is designed to enable flexibility to allow you to focus on specialist areas of your choice, which include music journalism, lifestyle and sports while also preparing you to challenge the status quo. This program focuses on detailed decisions about the design and construction of buildings and their immediate surroundings. Architectural Technology is concerned with new and existing buildings and examines how detail relates to the design concept. This field is also central to the communication of design decisions to members of the construction team and vital to ensuring that work is carried out in the correct manner.  

Our course will help you evolve the knowledge and skills required in understanding, application, analysis, synthesis, and evaluation relative to design, technology, management, and practice. It will also help advance your architectural management proficiency by bringing together all aspects of the design process, from concept through to completion. 

In addition, this degree examines design strategies to promote and encourage sustainability. You will explore methods of sustainability to inform architectural design, and develop an awareness of ecological footprints, materials, and embodied energy along with processes of achieving sustainable design.

Accounting BSc (Hons) will provide you with a high level of technical knowledge to underpin your future career as a chartered accountant. It provides a focused UK higher education academic experience strongly linked to accounting in a practical environment and to the role of finance trained staff working in a variety of roles within the economy.

The aim of the programme is to balance theoretical knowledge with practical application to allow you to develop a critical and questioning approach to the wide range of issues and opportunities faced by accountants in their working environment. Interior Design challenges us to reimagine existing interiors as well as challenge the idea of ‘space’ to create innovative and experiential spaces. It focuses on the way people interact within these environments, considering comfort, usability, effectiveness, aesthetics and emotional connection.

On this course you’ll explore the regeneration and adaptation of real buildings and sites and learn how to turn old commercial premises into exciting new spaces for exhibition, retail, leisure, eating and socialising purposes. You’ll develop visual communication skills in drawing, 3D modelling, computing, video-modelscope, computer-aided design (CAD) and virtual reality. Your work will respond to future global challenges and reflect the importance of sustainability and inclusivity in contemporary interior design.

You’ll also learn about the importance of design cultures and heritage, and culture and context. This solid foundation will enable you to develop your own personal style and design identity and, as you grow in confidence, you’ll become increasingly autonomous as you pursue individual design projects.

The sector has seen consistent growth in recent years and supports a growing number of highly skilled, high-value roles in aircraft aerodynamics, wind turbine design and maintenance, aviation management, the defence sector, and aircraft maintenance, repair and operation services.

This broad-based engineering course aims to train the next generation of aerospace professionals by providing technical skills in key areas of aeronautical engineering, supplemented by topics in material sciences, digital manufacturing and management concepts. Our graduates will leave with the advanced technical know-how required to work in the aircraft industry, along with a solid understanding of relevant management concepts.

You will study core modules in Advanced Flight Dynamics, Advanced Computational Aerodynamics and Instrumentation, Unmanned Aero Vehicle Design, Sensor Networks and more, with the choice of optional modules including Aircraft Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul, Composite Materials, Digital Manufacture, and Systems Operation and Management.

Computational Intelligence (CI) encompasses the techniques and methods used to tackle problems that traditional approaches to computing struggle to solve. The four areas of fuzzy logic, neural networks, CI optimisation and knowledge-based systems encompass much of what is considered to be computational (or artificial) intelligence. There are also opportunities to apply what you learn in areas such as robot control and games development, depending on your interests.

You can choose from a number of specialist modules including natural language processing, artificial neural networks and data mining techniques, while developing your skills in our dedicated robotics laboratory, equipped with a variety of mobile robots. The applied computational intelligence module considers knowledge-based systems, as well as the historical, philosophical and future implications of AI, and focuses on current research and applications in the area.   

Analyse the most significant issues of the 21st century, such as factors that influence states going to war, why some states are weaker than others are, and how global order is maintained. Our course will enable you to obtain an advanced understanding of the modern world, including the way in which states, regions and international organisations interact, and practice a range of methods and methodologies to support research and policy analysis.
