To meet international demand for this course, we have a collaborative arrangement for delivery at a university in Hangzhou, China. If you are studying in China, you will have the option to study one semester in Leeds as part of your course.

• Study poems, plays and prose narratives in their historical and cultural contexts
• Discuss and debate the different ways texts can be interpreted

• Cover a diverse range of texts, from the literatures of Romanticism through to the contemporary, and British and American Literature of the twentieth century to the postcolonial literatures of the Caribbean, India, Pakistan, South Africa, and Australia

Your campus sits in the very centre of the city, surrounded by museums, art galleries, theatres, film production companies and recording studios. We work directly with Leeds museums and galleries and many regional events, including the Ilkley Literature Festival and the Leeds West Indian Carnival.

• Look at why social problems persist, and explore what more can be done to address them
• Have the opportunity to explore the welfare state, the impact of globalisation, social inequalities, the complexities of making successful policies, and social and economic justice
• Have a choice of optional modules and a dissertation in your second and third years, which you can tailor to your interests

• Be committed to using research, clinical guidelines and policy in the evaluation and improvement of evidence-based dietetic practice  
• Develop further the research acumen, professional skills and abilities, values and behaviours of a registered dietitian
• Enhance appreciation of the complex framework of accountability, ethical and legal boundaries to meet Employer Frameworks and Professional Regulatory and Statutory Body Standards
• Critically appraise areas of dietetic practice
• Contribute to bodies of research and evidence-based practice through an independent, original high-quality piece of master’s-level research

Explore design in the intersection between art, gaming and technology.

As part of your course you’ll:

• Apply the fundamentals of design theory to game art and related visual media
• Develop practical 2D/3D visualisation and compositional skills
• Establish your practice in the form of a personal portfolio
• Understand the application of critical studies in relation to game art and what is required when working on the production of digital assets within game engine and visualisation technologies
• Undertake personal, detailed academic and practical research in relation to your specialised subject area
• Validate your creative process through your dissertation and portfolio of work

You’ll engage with a series of stimulating summer projects before your course starts, designed to prepare you for first year of study.

Informed by an intellectually stimulating and challenging academic environment and developed in consultation with industry, including game studio and Rockstar Leeds, you’ll build a strong practical skillset focused on developing your creative practice.

Within specialist facilities, software such as ZBrush, 3ds Max, Maya, Substance Painter, Adobe Creative Suite and HD screen-based drawing tablets, will provide you with the opportunity to reach your creative potential.

Become a spatial planning expert with the ability to advise clients on the effective use of land. This accredited course will develop your understanding of local authority controls relating to many aspects of policy; including transportation, communities, the environment and the quality of the built environment.
