BA Business Management (Supply Chain and Logistics)

In today’s business world, success is increasingly hinged on the speed and efficiency of supply chains. In this course ,you’ll learn what it’s like to compete in the global marketplace and organisations that require employees to have both a broad understanding of how businesses operate and specialist knowledge of supply chain processes.

You’ll be taught by experts who have plenty of experience in the area including supply chain scheduling, forecasting and operations management. This course provides you the opportunity to work in a range of businesses and organisations while gaining specialised training in the industry standard software you’ll need to manage and analyse the supply chain.

You will enrol on a four-year course which includes the one-year foundation year. The number of students who progress to degree study is very high. The Foundation Year in Performing Arts is taught in our excellent studios and facilities at our Hendon campus by the same lecturing staff who teach on our degree courses. You are taught in small group seminars, workshops and lectures.

BA Music

The course has been designed so you can align your studies with your passion in music and graduate with a degree that represents your interests and skills. Join our friendly and supportive international community based at our North London campus. Collaborate with students from other creative courses, including Dance, Theatre, Animation, TV Production, Art, Fashion and Games Design and make the most of our state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, including an industry standard recording and mixing studio, concert grand pianos, sound insulated practice rooms, computer suites and access to a wide range of software, such as Ableton, ProTools, Logic, Max MSP, Melodyne; hybrid analogue/digital recording studio and modular synths.

You enrol on a four-year course, which includes the one-year foundation course. If you complete this year successfully you progress directly onto our three-year media degree courses listed below. The number of students who progress to degree study are very high - in fact some of these students have gone on to become some of our most successful graduates.

 BSc Games Design

The BSc Games Design focuses on the technical side of games programming design and testing.

On this hands on course, you'll be making games with a mix of digital and paper prototyping and planning from week one. You’ll gain hands-on experience that will help you build your portfolio that will set you up for a successful career in a range of creative industries.

The games industry is complex, diverse and spans a variety of old and new technologies from print to computer software to 3D printed game pieces. This BA/BSc gives you the transferable skills and knowledge you need to become a successful games designer in this fast-changing industry.

This course is ideal for those who are interested in how businesses are operated and managed, but who also want to develop their own marketing expertise.

Through workshops, role-plays, problem solving exercises and analysing case studies, you'll learn to communicate your ideas and help to sell your products and services to customers. You’ll also study the key business functions that organisations require for success.

In terms of your career after your graduate, a BA in Business Management with a focus on marketing opens up a broad career path. The skills you'll develop are needed across almost every business and governmental sector, as well as third party organisations.

Overt the course of this Business Management and Marketing degree you’ll learn by doing – the vast majority of our modules are practical, and you’ll be assessed based on real life case studies and simulations.

During the marketing section, you’ll take on a range of digital marketing courses. You also have the opportunity to work on a marketing consultancy project where an external client will provide a project brief and you’ll work in a team to provide practical, actionable solutions. Cardiac physiologists record and analyse physiological data to diagnose and treat cardiac disease. They play an essential role in healthcare, saving many lives and improving many more. Cardiac physiologists in hospitals deal with patients first-hand, meaning they need not only highly specialised knowledge and excellent analytical abilities but good people skills.

Our biomedical and biological science courses have a burgeoning international reputation, due to our world-class research in areas including biomarkers, public health and biomodelling. Mechatronics at Middlesex is available as either a three-year Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) and a four-year Master of Engineering (MEng).

Studying BSc Medical Biochemistry with us will introduce you to new ideas and products that are applied to some of the biggest health problems of today. How you’ll practise your skills

• Our course is unique among other medical biochemistry degrees because we focus on getting you work experience throughout your time with us. You’ll have the option of taking a year-long industry placement that’ll help you develop your transferable skills. We also have a work experience module that’ll allow you to increase your chances of employment and practice working in the scientific field. Workplace learning is under the control of our employer partners who may need to restrict access to placement learning in light of the ongoing Covid 19 outbreak.
• You’ll learn through a series of computer-based sessions, practically focused learnings, and workshops. We’ve got psychology specialist laboratories and counselling practice rooms that, when available to access, will let you develop the practical skills needed to succeed in the field. You’ll be guided by teaching staff who are leading researchers in areas including health psychology, forensic psychology and qualitative research. Even in eventualities where we are unable to be in the laboratory or classroom together, we aim to use virtual tools to help you develop key practical skills.

Between the second and third years of study, you'll be encouraged to undertake an expenses-based year-long work placement. This will give you the chance to apply your knowledge, develop practical skills, and boost the chances of employment after you graduate. A range of established organisations are involved with our placement course, including Great Ormond Hospital School, St Georges Hospital, Priory Hospital, Institute of Psychiatry, Institute of Education, University College London, Holloway Prison, and the Metropolitan Police. The availability of placements is subject to the co-operating organisation, and we are working closely with our partners to make as many as possible available even during the pandemic.
