Our information systems degree gives you the skills, experience and expertise you need to succeed in the computer-based sector – and beyond. This is an interdisciplinary course meaning the content's structured in ways that map explicitly to modern technology, including systems design, application development, client-side programming, and much more.

Build your information systems skills

• You’ll have the opportunity to take a year-long, paid work experience placement as part of a four-year study path (subject to securing an organisation that is able to support such a placement during the COVID-19 pandemic). We’ll also give you industry professionals and work experience opportunities to help you further develop your professional skills and network. In the past, our students have taken part in Sky's hackathon which tested their knowledge and team-working skills.
• We’re in the process of gaining BCS (British Computer Society) accreditation for our computer science degrees, which means you’ll be able to gain BCS membership once it’s awarded.

All industries now utilise data and Data-Science and Data-Analytics are increasingly identified as key industrial activities.  The position of Data Scientist is rapidly becoming a required post for any company that wishes to take full advantage of the data that they collect. This course is designed to give you the skills to step into a career as a Data Scientist in a wide range of industries and companies.

This masters has been designed to offer those with a familiarity in maths, science or computing an opportunity to develop a key set of skills for future employment in a way that builds on your existing knowledge and skill base. Upon completing the course, you will be ready to fulfil the requirements of a Data Scientist.

On our MA Printmaking you will develop your own unique approach through practical work, research and critical understanding of your practice. Our MA Fine Art (Printmaking) is a highly practical course that enables you to explore your interests and enhance your skills through experimentation, research and critical analysis. To study criminology is to embark on a fascinating journey exploring the problem of crime. Learn about its causes and consequences, and investigating how society does and should respond to criminal behaviour in all its forms.
This degree provides an in-depth exploration of crime, criminals, victims and interaction with the Criminal Justice System. It's been designed for those who have an interest in how society responds to deviant behaviour and challenges the concept of social deviancy.

You'll focus on the theoretical concepts and approaches in criminology and their application to contemporary life through studying the impact of social divisions in minorities based on their experiences, interpretations, and representations of crime and criminal justice.

You'll be taught by staff currently involved in researching key issues related to crime and justice, and the findings of their research will influence your learning and research skills. As such, you'll learn to understand the factors that influence criminological research, policy and practice, and learn the fundamental skills of research and analysis.

You’ll do this through a series of problem-solving tasks in branding, typography, magazine design, editorial design, advertising, art direction, and plenty more. You’ll work on briefs that closely mirror the professional world, getting transferable experience from the very start.

In your final year, you’ll develop a personal professional portfolio that’ll bring together your study and style as an artist. We have excellent industry links and many of our students undertake work  placements at top design companies during the second year.

You will learn the principles of the English legal system, and gain reflection through social, political, economic, ethical and historical perspectives. You will also build a range of transferable skills, including abstract thinking and problem solving, that will allow you to prepare practically as well as academically for a successful legal career.

In light of COVID19 and the need to prioritise a safe academic community, we shall be offering a blended learning model that will involve online teaching and learning delivered by our expert academics, until it is safe to start face-to-face teaching. All such decisions will be made in line with Government advice.

• After you have completed your year one modules, you will have the option to transfer to year two of the LLB, which, on completion will lead to the academic and vocational training required to become a fully qualified solicitor or barrister in England and Wales.
• You will have use of original council chambers in Hendon Town Hall, featuring a judge's bench and public gallery for mooting and lectures.
