Your first year will be entirely project led, ensuring you practice your skills from the very start.

In the past our students have worked on a project with the prestigious Pink Shoe Club , creating prototypes for a unique digital self-assessment tool.

Build your computer science skills

• You’ll have the opportunity to take a year-long, paid work experience placement as part of a four-year study path. Placements are subject to availability of employer organisations and opportunities may be limited as a result of Covid-19. We’ll also give you access to industry professionals and work experience opportunities to help you further develop your professional skills.

• We’re in the process of gaining BCS (British Computer Society) accreditation for our computer science degrees, which means you’ll be able to gain BCS membership once it’s awarded.

Accountancy is at the core of every business which means that our BA Accounting and Finance course offers you a range of opportunities in every industry, from banking to fashion and everywhere in between. You’ll develop your advanced theoretical knowledge as well as a practical understanding of all things finance. Covering key areas within financial and management accounting, taxation and business law, you’ll gain a deep understanding of the role accounting plays in successful organisations.

Build your hands-on practical accounting skills:-

• You’ll build your knowledge through a combination of lectures, workshops and seminars. You’ll also take part in a range of class-based discussions to further develop your skills and understanding.
• We use accounting software such as Zero, Sage and OneSource in our teaching and our state-of-the-art Financial Markets Lab will give you the hands-on experience you'll need to succeed in the profession.
• During your studies, you will have the opportunity to do a paid work placement, either as a year-long project or two shorter placements. Here you’ll get the chance to test and improve your technical skills in the real world, as well as building your soft employability skills such as communication and team work.

Develop your practical dance performance skills

A dance degree will equip you with everything you need to start a career in this creative field, from joining a dance company to working for an arts organisation. Your day will be made up of a variety of learning including theoretical and creative practices, and daily practical classes with live accompaniment where you’ll specialise in different dance techniques.

We have four fully-equipped dance studios. Additionally, our flagship Grove Dance Theatre has a seating capacity of 144, a dedicated dressing room, a specialist lighting rig, and many more extras to facilitate an authentic stage environment.

We have a long-standing partnership with the artsdepot, an award winning cultural hub in North London, where you'll have an opportunity to perform. You’ll also attend industry professional workshops and the student-led dance society will facilitate your interests and pursuits of different dance styles. Graduates have gone on to perform with the likes of Eddie Peake, Ross McKim, and Flawless among others.

You’ll also get support from our Student Learning and Graduate Academic Assistants, who have experience in your subject area. We also have close links with the sport and rehabilitation clinic, so you receive support for safe dance training.

Covering everything from human behaviour and molecular neurobiology to psychiatric disorders and neurogenetics, our BSc Neuroscience gives you the specialist skillset to start your career.

Set in cutting-edge bioanalytical facilities our neuroscience degree will give you an opportunity to study and practice your new skills through both on campus (subject to availability in light of Covid 19) and on line learning.

Guided by our teaching staff – who are leading researchers in cognitive psychology, neuropsychology and neuroscience – you’ll explore a range of disciplines as you enhance your understanding of the function and dysfunction of the brain, spinal cord and peripheral nerves. You’ll also learn how to carry out a range of specialist procedures and techniques that are used for both research and diagnosis. This will be support by a range of online and on campus teaching, the latter dependent on availability as a result of the Covid 19 outbreak.

Develop your hands-on experience

• Our recently revamped bioanalytical laboratories give you access to the next generation of scientific instrumentation for molecular analysis – which is in line with the new focus on protein-hunting in scientific research. On campus experiences will be subject to ongoing and future restrictions as a result of the Covid 19 outbreak.
• With the help of our expert teaching staff, you’ll get to grips with specialist procedures such as psychophysiological monitoring, electroencephalography (EEG) and brain imaging techniques.
• By providing you a specialist skillset that applies to a variety of careers in science and non-science sectors, our neuroscience course opens up career opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry, clinical research, academia and teaching. It also gives you an ideal foundation for further study in areas such as drug development, neurone and glial cell culture, and molecular neuroscience.

This degree weaves academic learning into the economics and finance context internationally and includes the option to take a valuable paid placement year where you'll be exposed to applying economics into action. You can choose to do short term internships in choice public, private and voluntary organisations such as government departments, financial sector, banks, risk and insurance sectors, investment and broking firms, retail and manufacturing firms, start-ups and charities among many others.

This degree will equip you with key skills in economics and finance, including data analysis, group presentation and discussion, writing and report preparation. Learning about computer-based systems can open a lot of different career doors. Our information technology course combines theoretical knowledge with practical experiments to prepare you for the world of work. You’ll have access to a wide range of advanced equipment and software. Our interworking labs come equipped with telecommunication equipment, high-end simulation software, and much more. We even have remote access for the features you will need.

A degree in information technology is a great step to a career in the IT field.
