Our intensive one-year MSc Management with a specialism in Leadership, Strategy and Change is for graduates from a wide range of subject backgrounds. This program is for students who aspire to management-level and leadership roles within their chosen industry.

Our MSc Management pathways provide an introduction to management, followed by a detailed exploration of a specific area of management theory and practice, in this case Leadership, Strategy and Change. Our intensive, one-year, MSc Management with a specialism in Project Management is for graduates from a wide range of subject backgrounds. The MA in Creative Writing at Bristol is designed for writers who would like to begin publishing their work. In warm, supportive workshops, you will be helped to improve your writing and in lectures and seminars you will increase your understanding of the industrial and critical contexts of contemporary literature. 

The MA in Creative Writing at Bristol is industry-focused. You will be taught by experienced published writers. A special unit will introduce you to issues in contemporary publishing. Guest writers and experts from industry will speak, bringing up-to-date knowledge and expertise to the course. We also work closely with local competitions, writing groups and writing initiatives. You will also work with a professional writer one-on-one as your manuscript develops with ten allocated hours of supervision. 

The MA in Creative Writing at Bristol is research-rich. Housed in the University's prestigious Department of English, you will be taught by groundbreaking researchers about contemporary critical issues in literature. Master of Science in Molecular Neuroscience

The programme provides intensive training in the neurosciences as they relate to the physiologic function and behaviour of the organism. It builds on the broad research strengths of recognised scientists, particularly in basic and clinical neuroscience, molecular and cell biology, neuroendocrinology, behaviour, neurodegeneration and stress. Guest lecturers from other universities bring their specialist and advanced knowledge to the programme.

Throughout the programme, basic principles will be taught and illustrated in the context of various brain diseases, including psychiatric and neurodegenerative disorders. A practical and a research project will give you valuable experience in experimental neuroscience, while tutorials and presentations will also help to develop your communication skills.

BSc Economics and Mathematics combines high-level mathematics with a technically rigorous economics programme that emphasises the use of mathematical tools, including econometrics.

This course combines the broad academic content of our business and management degree with an overseas dimension that reflects the global nature of modern business.

This degree is the same as the three-year BSc Business and Management course until you get to year three, which you will spend studying business and management in the host language of a partner university. You will have already developed your existing language experience by studying the language of your host country during your first and second years. This joint honours course is offered by the Department of Computer Science and Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and is designed to meet the needs of the computing and electronics industries.

You will understand how to design and build hardware and software for all types of computer systems in order to implement applications ranging from medical equipment and autonomous vehicles to finance systems.

Your first two years cover the foundations of computing and electronics, equipping you to work confidently in software and hardware. Year three includes a major project, either based in industry or industry inspired and undertaken at the University. You can tailor your fourth year to suit your interests by choosing an individual project and optional units.

The MEng course provides full accreditation for the qualification of Chartered Engineer. The first two years are common with the BEng Computer Science and Electronics and transfer between courses is possible until the end of year two subject to satisfactory performance.

Bachelor of Science in Cancer Biology and Immunology

In your first year you will gain a broad understanding of the biology of normal and cancerous cells. In addition to studying the immune system, you will take pathology, microbiology and biochemistry units.

In the second year you will study the cellular and molecular basis of cancer and its therapy, as well as autoimmune diseases, such as multiple sclerosis, diabetes and arthritis, and human cancers caused by viruses, such as papillomavirus and hepatitis B. You will take molecular genetics and an optional unit, possibly biochemistry or pharmacology, from a selection offered by other schools.

All practical teaching in years one and two is supported by the eBiolabs dynamic laboratory manual.

In the final year you will undertake a research project or scientific dissertation, working in a research group in our Biomedical Sciences building or in one of the surrounding hospitals. Your work may even be published in scientific literature.

The four-year BSc Cancer Biology and Immunology with Study in Industry is available by transfer after securing a placement during your second year.
